It was an important time for the clan and Moosestar made his way to address his clan in the early light of day.
"Let all cats old enough to hunt their own prey, gather here beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting."

Robinkit heard Moosestar's call, not too clearly from the nursery but she heard it. She hadn't really realized that the day of her apprenticeship would come so soon, but here it was, a time where she could hardly fit in her nest that well anymore, and her false herb collection? Mostly wilted away after the last cleaning, the nests had been cleaned not very long ago and Robinkit didn't see much point in replacing them, she was going to be sleeping elsewhere now, so she didn't need them.
She moved toward the opening that lead to the nursery, she could see quite a bit of the camp from there, especially now she was bigger, more toned, and slightly more angular than her round faced kit-self. She didn't exactly meet Moosestar's eyes, but his voice, the way he cheered when he spoke the call, it was less obvious than some would notice, but it was still there. Seemed like he was more eager than Robinkit was.
A breath left Robinkit for what seemed like a whole moon, she moved her yellow gaze toward the elders' den, would Bravesong be attending? She promised to visit him. She shook her head, she was getting sidetracked. She glanced back to Moosestar, maybe this meeting wasn't hers, maybe if she stayed in the nursery, she could be a kit for a little longer, just a little.

When Moosestar called for the Clan's assembly, he interrupted Mistyleaf from an interesting dream about the different mosses that could be found in the forest... As she opened her eyes and blinked away sleep, she could still remember parts of it. Unique scents, the ways they felt beneath her dream self's paws, and so on.
The silver torbie held fast to them in her mind as she rose and left the warriors' den for a spot within view of the Highrock, but not too deep into the eventual crowd.

Hearing Moosestar call, Finchkit slowly got up, padding over to the highrock. The small tom didn't say a word, letting out a yawn. Not out of disrespect or boredom but rather from fatigue. No matter how much his mother begged him to rest, Finchkit loved playing night guard and spending the mornings sleeping despite his mother's advice.

Kestrelswipe had been ready for Moosestar's call since he'd woken up. Longer, really. Since Moosestar had first approached him about mentoring. He'd made sure his fur was groomed neatly so that he was presentable, and he sat up close near the front of the gathered cats.
He watched the two apprentices approach, not quite in sync with each other, but still both seemingly excited. He hoped Finchkit's excitement would carry over.

Moosestar waited patiently for cats to assemble, each one a small part of a greater ThunderClan. As a leader it was his duty to guide those forward, and this ceremony would mark an uncommon milestone should StarClan approve.

Tigerrush knew that Moosestar had the apprentice ceremonies approaching and was planning on doing it soon. How soon, she wasn't sure but to start her day, she had made sure to enjoy a small mouse from the fresh-kill pile to satisfy her hunger, freshen the mouse bile in her stores, and to add a bit of fluff to the nests in her den, just in case.
With the mouse a pleasant memory sitting in her belly, the brown tabby medicine cat gave not just her face and whiskers a wash, but made sure to give herself a once over, finishing just as she heard her leader call for a clan meeting. Getting to her paws, she padded from the medicine den to join those gathering in the clearing and took a deep breath.
She still wasn't fully convinced on her decision after speaking to Moosestar, but it was said and done and in the past. No turning back or changing her mind now. Everything from here on out was in the paws of Starclan.
Sunstrike hesitated by the nursery, watching her kits wander towards the High Rock. She had mixed feelings on the matter. Surely 6 moons hadn't passed already? They were still babies for Starclan's sake!
She forced her hackles to lay flat, and put on an excited face. If either of them looked back at her, she wanted to be as supportive as possible. She would be there for them - unlike Quailcall.
Go on. Fly, little ones.

Finchkit twitched his ears at Moosestar’s instruction. He didn’t quite see his sister anywhere but it was his name that was said first, so he took a few strides forward. His sister would surely come along after, it was her ceremony too after all. He glanced up at Moosestar, his hazel eyes tired but attentive.
He did his best to not seem tired, but guarding the nursery for his sister’s protection had its… cons. For now that didn’t matter, this ceremony is what mattered, attention to Moosestar.

Moosestar eyes followed the red ticked tomkit as he approached, a weary sort of look giving weight to his step.
"Kestralswipe, you will be mentor to Finchpaw. Kestralswipe, you are responsible and steadfast." He blinked at both cats, pleased. "Pass on all you can to this young apprentice."

Kestrelswipe stepped forward, dipping his head to Moosestar. He turned to the tomkit with an excited gleam in his eyes, bending down to touch their noses together. Already, he was thinking of the first few lessons he’d put together in his head. He knew a bit about Finchkit–Finchpaw now. He knew he was a quiet kit, not unlike Kestrelswipe himself at that age.
Still beaming with pride, he sat himself beside Finchpaw to watch the rest of the ceremony.

With a confirming nod, the tom continued.
"Tigerrush feels it is time for her to pass what she knows to the next generation and ensure a Medicine Cat and ThunderClan’s future...Tigerrush you will be mentor to Robinpaw. If it is StarClan's will, teach them all you know."
Highstones awaited. Only time would tell if she would be accepted by them. It wasn't everyday that a clan received a medicine cat in the making.

Robinkit... no, not anymore, Robinpaw looked back at her dame from where she had been sitting at the nursery entrance, uncertainty being the dominant expression in her gaze as she watched to see if her mother would just tug her into a hug and groom her fur like she always had before. But that didn't happen, no amount of wishing would stop the passage of time.
With her new name and rank as the Medicine Cat's apprentice, she stepped forward below the high rock finally, letting go of a breath she didn't know she was holding. In the moment, she had to remember Bravesong's words about the passage of time, it had helped when she was there. Plus, Robinpaw had to keep her promise to Bravesong, she would see him on the other side of this ceremony.

Robinkit - Robinpaw's glance over her shoulder made Sunstrike smile, and tilted her head in the direction of Tigerrush as encouragement. At least their mentors were family - cats she trusted and loved.
She wouldn't coddle them, or embarass them now. But she would be the loudest of the voices to call their new names. And after the ceremony, maybe she would go see them. Help the build their new nests.

Tigerrush listened as Moosestar called Robinkit forward and paired the young cat to her. She let out a soft breath before taking a deeper one and stepping forward to touch Robinkit's nose gently with her own, mewing softly.
"At the half moon in a few of moon rises, I will take you to Highstones and present you to Starclan. If they accept you, then you will be a fully qualified medicine cat apprentice. For now, we will start with the apprenticeshipa basics."
Wrentalon had been anticipating this day. Seeing the kits he'd sired become apprentices filled him with pride. He'd sat himself near Sunstrike to watch, and while he wasn't exactly thrilled about Finchpaw's mentor, he was more than glad to hear Robinpaw would be apprenticing Tigerrush. He was already so proud of his sister for holding the unique position of medicine cat, and now his daughter would be as well.
"They're both going to be excellent," he murmured to Sunstrike.
