Smokekit will grow into a sleek, well-proportioned tom with a lithe yet sturdy frame, hinting at a balance between agility and strength. His coat is a rich seal mink, a warm, dusky brown shade with a creamy, soft undertone that lightens slightly along his belly and inner legs. His fur is short and plush, with a natural healthy sheen.

His pattern consists of dark, inky brown spots scattered across his body, more concentrated along his spine and fading as they descend toward his flanks. The spots are irregular, some more defined than others, giving him a smoky, peppering of color and shape. His dark face is adorned with faint tabby like markings – subtle streaks that frame his sharp cheekbones and emphasize his  features whereas the darkest concentration of color is focused over his nose bridge, tail tip, and paws. From his ribs is a snowy patch of white that extends down in an unbroken patch to his belly. All of his toes are white, which stands out against the deeply seal color of his extremities.

Smokekit’s large, expressive eyes are initially the vivid blue of all kittens, but as he matures, they will shift into a similar shade of green to his mother, Aspenberry. His eyes stand out against his dark, sable face, framed by delicate, rounded features that hint at his youth and an undercurrent of athleticism. His tail is a bit shorter than average, with faint rings visible starting mid length toward the tip, and his nose and paw pads are a deep, dusky rose color. His whiskers are long and white, while his ears are sharp and tufted at the end (a feature reminiscent of his unnamed father, Kosmo, and distant Maine Coon heritage).

Smokekit is a quiet tomkit. He would much rather keep to the safety and known warmth of his family than wiggling out into the unknown. He will become a cat who values comfort over exertion. From a young age, Smokekit shows signs of being idle and a non-busybody. He detests getting dirty or rough play and will loudly complain if forced into anything that could ruffle his fur. Despite not seemingly doing much to warrant it, he thrives on compliments and is easily flattered.

KITHOOD:

Smokekit was third born of four of the WindClan deputy’s (Aspenberry’s) first litter sired by Cloudflare, who was his named sire, although secretly was also sired by a rogue named Kosmo whom Aspenberry had taken a liking to. Despite conception in the dead of leafbare, all four siblings were born healthy on the 8th day of the Moon of First Green 2021, making him a newleaf baby. As of now he suckles and does his best to grow under the careful and loving watch of his parents.

As Smokekit grew he was often dramatic, comfort-loving, and more than a little vain, often complaining about getting dirty or having his naps interrupted. Though he longed to stretch his legs and wanted more than the nursery.

During a thunderstorm, Smokekit befriended Berrykit, whose stories about the mythical Cloudcat transformed the frightening storm into something magical which made the uncertainty of the thunderstorm tolerable to the little tom.

Not long afterward, Smokekit’s world was shattered by the sudden death of his mother, Aspenberry. Though he tried to maintain his composure, her loss left a profound emptiness in his life, dampening much of his enthusiasm. He still yearns for her guidance and took pride in what she had done for her Clan.

His curiosity eventually led him to seek out the young elder Boldclaw, hoping to hear genuine stories of warrior life instead of nursery stories but their conversation soured when Boldclaw spoke bitterly about Aspenberry. Fiercely protective of his mother’s memory, Smokekit lashed out, only to be met with an equally harsh tirade about kits. Ever since then he’s wished the worst for Boldclaw and hopes he never gets out of the Elder’s Den.

Flickerkit had left camp one day only to be fetched by the new deputy, Emberdawn. He questioned her about her adventure and the feather she had brought back which only deepened his longing to explore more of WindClan. He got his wish when he became Smokepaw on the 18th Day of Sparrow’s Crowning 2021 to the detached Beewhisker.
