ThunderClan Camp, The Nursery

Padding back into camp, two mice and a few flowers gripped lightly in her jaws, Skyblossom headed towards the nursery, having been given orders from one of the older warriors to hunt for Orchidflame and Bravesong. Excited to meet the kits, Skyblossom's steps became slightly faster.
When she entered, Skyblossom immediately placed the mice next to the elders, any awkwardness she might have had around them washed away by excitement. Turning around, she spotted the two kits, watching them slightly and wondering how she should go about introducing herself.
Walking slowly and quietly so as not to startle the kits, she sat down close to where they were, her green gaze following the kits' movements. "Hello, Skunkkit, Weaselkit. I'm Skyblossom. I've been waiting for a while now to meet you." She said, wondering how much they would understand.
Ignoring her own thoughts, she placed the flowers down a few paw steps in front of her, their vivid blue colors matching the kits' pelts. "I brought you some flowers. You may play with them however you wish." She continued, smiling slightly.
Maybe if she made a good enough impression, the kits would start warming up to her. Of course, kits were normally quite easy to be friends with, so she'd probably be able to interact with them as though she'd known them for a very long time in a couple days. Or not. Probably depended upon the kit's personality...

Skunkkit’s eyes went wide at the sight of an unfamiliar cat in the nursery. He wasn’t afraid though, strange cats often visited to bring his mother and father food, sometimes they spoke with him and Weaselkit, other times they merely smiled, dipped their heads and left. When this cat, however, approached and greeted them, the young tom’s tail stuck straight up in the air and his previously sleepy demeanor vanished into one of excitement. “Hi! Hi!” he chirped and stumbled over the moss. He had just recently begun to move more than wriggly squirms, and his paws and legs were so unco-ordinated that he still wriggled over the moss more than walked.
Skunkkit blinked at the flowers that this Skyblossom had brought them and he nosed them gently once he reached them. They had a sweet smell and the petals were soft and colourful. “Pwetty,” the young tom purred and reached out to bat at the petals, giggling cheerfully as they bobbed and swayed. “Loo’ Wea’el’it! Loo’ie!” the black and white tom chirped gleefully to his brother as he kept patting at the petals with his paws. After a while, Skunkkit half wobble-walked, half wriggled closer. An instinct had him wanting to grab at the stems. Once he was in reach, he bit down on a stem before recoiling. “Yu’ky!” he whined. After a moment of licking his muzzle to clear the taste off of his tongue, Skunkkit bit at the stem again, growling playfully. Whenever the taste was too much, he paused to lick his tongue clear before resuming.

Laying by his nest Weaselkit observed the slow going ons of the nursery, he was moreso sleeping than watching, but it made him feel a little better about taking that sleeping if he told himself he was watching. His eyes snapped open and he shuffled from laying down to a seated position as a strange cat entered the nursery. But instead of showing up and leaving like many other cats had, or even just talking to his parents, instead the cat spoke to them.
Using what little coordination the young kit had he slowly wriggled his way towards Skunkkit and the newcomer. "Hi!" He chirped before he accidentally wriggled himself nose first into the indent in the center of one of the flowers. Cringing at the weird smell he pulled his head back, unbeknownst to him he had a bit of yellow pollen stuck to the white fur around his nose.
"I loo'! Dey pwetty! Smell weird doh.." He mewed, unable to escape the smell even as he squirmed back a little before settling just a few mouselengths from Skunkkit. "If tas'e 'ad why 'ite?"

Smiling as the kits curiously messed with the flowers, Skyblossom swished her tail, trying her best to make out what the kits were saying. Most of what they said was easy for her to understand, but some of it was more complex. Of course, that made it fun.
"Yeah they're not the tastiest, but I don't think they were originally meant for eating. Of course, you can eat them, but they're more enjoyable to look at." Skyblossom said, angling her ears towards the slightly disheveled flowers as she spoke.
"Some cats like to wear them on their pelts, although they die quicker than you'd expect. I can show you if you want." She continued, expecting the kits to ignore her offer. Of course, she wouldn't be offended if they did. Kits had quite a few moons to learn their likes and dislikes, and to learn so much more than that.

Skunkkit giggled at the appearance of his brother with pollen on his nose. “Cus fun!” he chirped back in reply and bit at the flower stem again. The piece of stem was very quickly turning into a mangled mess rather than a support for a flower, but the little tom didn’t mind. The flower had been colourful and new, but it held no sway to him. It was just a thing like the moss on which he slept.
Skyblossom’s remarks on how the flowers were supposed to be most enjoyable for looking at went completely over Skunkkit’s head. He enjoyed playing with things, trying out his ever increasing capabilities, not just looking at things. The only purpose of sight to the small black and white tom was to see what he was going to squirm to or try to pounce and play with. As such, when Skyblossom offered to show them how to wear the flowers in their pelts, he just frowned at her before returning to biting and clawing at his chosen victim of a flower. By this point it hardly had any petals left on it and the stem was a mushy, stringy mess. Had Skunkkit’s muzzle had any white fur, it certainly would have been stained green and yellow from his vicious attack on the flower.

Weaselkit was intrigued by the idea of wearing flowers on his pelt, they were so pretty! It'd make his fur all pretty too! But without the encouragement of his littermate going along with the offer he was hesitant to say anything. But still, the silence loomed over him and after a heartbeat or two he spoke up.
"I 'anna see." He mewed, multicolored gaze looking up at the bigger cat. He was mostly not paying attention to Skunkkit's vicious attack on the flower. That couldn't taste very good.. But it probably wouldn't hurt him so it was fine? Probably? He didn't know. But it also felt wrong to ignore Skyblossom entirely and he really did want to see how cats put flowers in their fur.

"Alright, Weaselkit. Sometimes it can be hard, but once you get used to it, you'll be able to do it with little effort. Depending on the way you want to wear them, the method can change. My favorite method is to lean my head forward and snag the flowers carefully between my claws. Then I bring my paws up to my head and make sure the flowers are tangled in my fur." Skyblossom said, demonstrating it to the young kit. Soon she could probably teach him the other methods too.
"Sometimes the method depends on the cat's fur too. If their fur is shorter, it can be hard to get the flowers to stay. In such a case, sometimes they would stick the flowers in their tail fur, since it can be a little longer sometimes." Pausing to catch her breath, she grabbed the few intact flowers that still remained, tucking them carefully in Weaselkit's fur behind his ear and by his neck. They suited him well.
"Their are many different kinds of flowers and many different kinds of ways to wear them. Sometimes it can take a while to find your preferences, but in the end, all that time is worth it." She said, softening her gaze as she remembered the time when she had first worn flowers in her fur.
"Have fun, Weaselkit! You too, Skunkkit! I'm sorry, but I think I can hear somecat calling for me. We'll have to play again some other time. Enjoy the flowers!" Skyblossom said, her bluish-silver gray fur puffing out as she happily said her goodbyes to the kits.

Skunkkit gave his brother and Skyblossom a quizzical look as they started trying to actually knot their own fur in order to have a flower stay in it. It looked utterly dumb to the young black and white tom and he paused in his savaging of the destroyed flower to say as much but thought better of it. While he had no qualms about telling Skyblossom that the flower thing looked dumb, he had already come to know his brother well enough to worry that he might take it to heart. No, there was no need to upset Weaselkit unnecessarily by telling him that the flower thing looked dumb and then have his brother take it as he looked dumb. Instead the little tom only rolled his eyes and ignored the two.
When Skyblossom suddenly announced that she had to go because somecat was calling her, Skunkkit finally left the scraps of flower alone to mew a short goodbye. He found it interesting that he didn’t feel particularly sad to see this cat who had talked with him leave, but then again, she hadn’t actually played with him either. Giving a shrug, Skunkkit wobbled his way over to Weaselkit and gave the young tom a playful nudge that may or may not have been intended to dislodge any flowers his brother had actually woven into his fur.
