Rimepaw's ears perked instantly, mismatched eyes flashing bright as she bounded after Savagefox through the stretch of trees that was the Orchard. Her mind was going a mile a minute and barely paid the scenery any mind...but then her brother mentioned good things.

"Oooh, like the dog?" She blurted immediately, unable to stop herself as she snickered a bit to herself.

Her tail lashed with excitement as she hurried closer to his side, practically vibrating. "Mama told me you killed one and dragged it all the way back to camp!" She shrugged her shoulders. She might not admit it, but Rimepaw might have idolized him for that.

Rimepaw leapt onto a low root beside him, puffing her chest slightly as though proximity alone made her fiercer. "Did it try to bite your face off? I heard everybody freaked out when you brought it back...But you had to show everyone right? Did you ever get to see what it tasted like?"

“Exactly like the dog.” Savagefox confirmed with a slight purr. It was a flattering thing to have someone excited about the fight that had earned them their proper name. If Goldenstar hadn’t been so boring the whole thing would have been a part of their legend already.

“When I ambushed it the thing tried to bite my everything off. She wasn’t very happy about me clawing her.” His purr grew stronger as he remembered the tale. “I only got to taste the blood. Goldenstar was too upset, and they dragged it off before I got a proper taste.” Olive green eyes narrowed inquisitively as they watched their half-sister. Maybe she would understand what made it so amazing? They would have to find out.

“Next time I’m going to eat it first and leave it out here.” The red tail lashed behind him. “It’ll freak a patrol out, but at least I’d know what dog tastes like.”

Rimepaw balked at the mention of Goldstar. "And Goldenstar stopped you?' She sounded personally offended on his behalf. "What a waste! You already killed it...you should get to know what it tastes like after all that work!"

She wished she was alive to see that naming ceremony. Savagefox felt so natural a name for a cat like her half-brother. Her chin bobbed in a few nods, eyes scanning their surroundings. The Orchard was bleeding away into the fence lines and manicured lawns of the Two-Legs. "It's not like you tried to eat a cat or anything!"

Then her ears shot up at the mention of a next time. She grinned over at him, eyes half lidded with micheif. "Why wait for next time?" Before another thought could catch up to her paws, she bounded ahead through the sparse trees and into the open to leave the scent of ThunderClan behind.

"Maybe we can find one now!" Scarred tail tip streaming behind her like a war banner, the zealous apprentice continued over a sidewalk, the stench of kittypets seemingly in every direction.

They made an affirmative sound as they moved amoungst the Twoleg Trees. When she mentioned cat eating the prick of their ears couldn’t be helped. It probobly didn’t taste that bad… They bet it was better than frog.

When Rimepaw picked up speed they followed her. “I bet we find something to deal with out here!” The purr that filled their chest as they bounded after her was dark and full of egar energy. The hard stone of the twoleg place always felt odd under their paws. “The rest are going to freak out if they know we’ve been here.” His voice waas quiet.

“Don’t tell anyone we went past the Trees.”

Rimepaw snorted at that, leaping lightly over a crack in the hard stone path. The strange place buzzed with unfamiliar scents and while there was some uncertainty trying to kick around in her head she ignored it as Savagefox caught up with her.

"As if I'd tell them." She scoffed, glancing back at Savagefox with a grin too sharp to be innocent."Moosestar would probably try to bury me alive in camp duties - and you know those aren't fun."

Her paws slowed briefly as she scented the air, nose wrinkling. "But it's not like we're doing anything bad...We're just scouting."Her voice was a note of whimsy, trying to play it off as if daring him to correct her. "That's warrior stuff, right?"

As if the notorious siblings would be tempted by living the life of a kittypet.

“Sometimes I think Moosestar wants to bury me in camp duties.” There was a smirk in the red and white cat’s voice. They couldn’t help but like their little sister. Finally someone else in the family who could understand that it wasn’t all about stupid Moosestar and his boring rules!

Savagefox slowed suddenly at the whiff of the stale stink of dusty meat and two-leg that overlaid a distinctly feline scent that was almost lost in the reek of their environment. They settled into a stalk, legs bent and paws quiet. They led the way towards the scent. “Warrior stuff, indeed.” There was an undertone of hiss in his voice.

“Spot the kittypet, little sister.” The olive green eyes were already sliding towards where the cat sat, seated under the dwarfed cedar next to a short flight of steps onto a porch. An eager edge entered into Savagefox’s voice as he watched the brown tabby lick his paw and swipe over his ears. The kittypet hadn’t even noticed the two of them, yet. “Some cats will disagree, but I’ve been told that Bloodstar didn’t believe kittypets were proper cats. Just things no better than prey…”

Rimepaw's grin faded. The she-cat was thinking and that usually meant no good. The moment Savagefox dropped into a practiced crouch, she mirrored him, shoulders lowering. Her nose twitched hard against the flood of strange scents. Finding a kittypet shouldn't be too hard...Until there!

Her eyes followed her brother and spotted the brown tabby, a soft, porty thing that went on completely oblivious to its surroundings. In the quiet if one imagined that kittypets were nothing more than a fat woodchuck or a stinking squirrel, prey would be a fitting name for them. Enemies, certainly. But even Rimepaw respected enemy Clan cats enough to desire a more fair brawl.

There she watched it. Porch behind it. Open yard to the left. Fence line to the right. If it bolted toward the Twoleg den they'd lose it immediately. She scoffed. "They're too close to the Den...if it panics, it'll run there first." From there her odd eyes traced the fenceline, already imagining it like if Wrentalon was running a hunting drill and asking for her input.

"If...say, something scared it from that side...It might run to the green-place instead." It seemed so easy, like flushing prey towards another hunter. Pupils widened slightly as she studied the kittypet again, fascination mixed with disdain. It wasn't even looking around...How did kittypet's survive?

"I wanna scare 'em over to you! It'll be so funny watching 'em scramble." It would be good practice in stalking and she had run all the way over here. She didn't think Savagefox was much in the mood for 'creeping'. As if saying 'watch me', Rimepaw began her prowl, using some sandy brown grass along the border of the white stone to blend in as she crept closer.

Her tail tip flicked with excitement, although she stilled it after a few shakes, not wanting to alert the stupid kittypet. Closer she crept, using the fenceline to her advantage as she crept from the side of the porch before bolting out of a shrubbery.

The brown tabby erupted with a jolt of motion, nearly toppling onto its back before it decided to run to the side yard, clumsily shaking off any survival instinct it had in them.

“Excellent strategy. We’ll end them quick.” Savagefox’s face gleamed with excitement. They shifted, placing themself carefully opposite Rimepaw. When she flushed their quarry Savagefox exploded with a fierce growl. They were quick and met the kittypet face to face. Fearlessly they slammed into the brown tabby, fangs aimed at the throat and claws catching the shoulders.

Savagefox rolled, dragging the brown form with as they went. Hindpaws kicked into the belly, tearing into flesh as they tossed the yowling creature towards Rimepaw. She deserved blood, too.

Rimepaw's heart beat harder the instant the kittypet hit the ground as the thrill enveloped her. They wouldn't stand a chance against warrior claws. Blood scent seeped clear into the air and Rimepaw's pupils blew wide. And then her brother tossed them right to her!

The kittypet crashed across the grass at her paws, scrambling blindly. For a moment she almost laughed as it tried in vain to put up a fight. Her claws hooked into the tabby's flank as she slammed into its side, knocking it against the fence. Fangs held on fiercely like how Wrentalon had instructed her in their hunting drills.

The kittypet lashed wildly as Rimepaw barely noticed the sting of claws grazing her foreleg. Instead she dug in harder, exhilaration buzzing through every limb as she pinned it long enough for Savagefox to finish the job if they wanted.

Savagefox gave a whoop of glee as Rimepaw caught the kittypet, first body-slamming it and then driving it firmly into the fence. A most excellent use of terrain. Too bad her mentor wouldn’t get to hear about how well made and executed a plan.

Then they coiled, waiting as Rimepaw got her teeth into it. Maybe she would understand the glory that was feeling life flow beneath your fangs. Savagefox launched himself, using their frame to slam sideways into the kittypet’s shoulder to drive it further into the fence. Ears back and snarling they drove in to fasten teeth into the throat. The position was awkward, forcing Savagefox to curl around the kittypet, but it would also let the feeling of weakening struggles tremble through their entire body.

Savagefox tore backwards, dragging sharp fangs through the delicate flesh of the kittypet’s throat.
Satisfaction surged as the blood did.

Rimepaw's breath came out in ragged pants through her hold. It wasn't long before the creature so far removed from them weakened enough that she didn't need to vice them down. Blood colored the air and overwhelmed her senses leaving nothing else to be desired. In the moment this felt entirely justified.

A grin strecthed along her face as she ignored the cat as it faded, sinking to the ground before its death spasms quieted. "Good riddance." She spat, now turning towards her brother before flexing her claws into the blood damp earth. She half hopped, half pranced around Savagefox.

"That can be a warning to the rest of 'em." She breathed with every skip, tail wagging from the left over energy that jittered across her body. She assumed that they would just leave the carcass for the neighborhood to find. "I know I can't tell nobody...but I wanna."
