Brightmaple and Barleyswipe have both noticed an empty nursery. They are both willing to bear a litter for their clan (Brightmaple loves kits and was hoping to have another litter before she joins Starclan) and their genes will bring fresh bloodlines into the nursery.

Wildcry has not been blind to the lack of kits in the thunderclan nursery. With Dustpaw’s passing, she has decided it would be a good time to have another litter of kits if possible. She believes Bravesong would be a good candidate due to his prior senior warrior status as well as showing immense bravery in the face of danger and protecting his clan at the ultimate cost.

Moosestar hasn’t really impressed her and doesn’t want to give Greenfang a reason to gloat.

Cloudflare and Aspenberry both grew up together, with the pair only being a few moons apart. This resulted in a shared kithood, along with training during apprenticeship. The two have an easygoing, relaxed relationship with mutual trust and respect. Cloudflare is a key member of Aspenberry’s inner circle, and there is nothing she wouldn’t trust him with. Cloudflare has always been a pillar of support for Aspenberry, and was especially supportive during her transition to deputy.

Having a litter of her own is something Aspenberry has only decided on recently. WindClan means everything to her, and as deputy she has a set of responsibilities she can’t so if nursing kits. After talking with Cloudflare, they agreed to share duties, meaning once the kits are weaned she can take back her duties while Cloudflare spends time in the nursery. Deep down she believes having this litter is a selfish choice, but it is something she really wants, and a new way for her to show her love to her clan.

Cloudflare and Clovershine would be good candidates for the next Shadowclan litter. They have two IC threads that shape up their relationship up until Clovershine requests Cloudflare to sire a litter from her as well as that Gathering thread from that moon where they briefly interact.

Coldgaze and Bloomfire are not friends, anyone can see that, plain as day. They clash, they argue and they fight. What they do have, in at least most circumstances is a mutual respect for each others abilities, intelligence and values. A litter between Coldgaze and Bloomfire is not one that will start a healthy, loving family. It will be one based on deals and personal gain. Coldgaze is next in line to lead, and wishes to continue his bloodline. Bloomfire, while having little interest in raising kits, sees this as an opportunity. She might not love her deputy all that much, but he has some good enough qualities. She has his kits on the terms that once Coldgaze takes on leadership, she is promoted to senior warrior. She keeps to herself that she had hopes of using the kits as pawns too, to create cats with similar ideals to hers, and to use them against Coldgaze if ever needed. She probably won’t succeed, but it’s worth a try.

Neither cat will be a great parent, Bloomfire especially. Coldgaze wished his role as sire to remain unannounced, but there is a high chance Bloomfire will tell everyone anyway.

They discuss morals and values briefly, with both cats staying relatively calm as they talk about topics ranging from beliefs to outsiders. The topic then moves onto Sunningrocks and ThunderClan, where the two discuss strategy.

She walks on the border, mocking and teasing her deputy, eventually causing the tom to snap, pinning her to the ground in surprise. While initially shocked, Bloomfire continues to ridicule him, where Coldgaze eventually lashes out, tearing off half her ear, leaving her a bloody mess.

To be made – Bloomfire approaches Coldgaze as the weather warms up. She knows Boldstar is on his last legs, and she wants to secure a place in the higher ranks. She suggests that she will carry a litter for Coldgaze under the circumstances he makes her a senior warrior.

Lilyriver is a fierce and headstrong cat, she wants to raise a litter of her own before she loses her ability to continue her bloodline. She has chosen Ebonyflare to sire her litter due to the mutual respect the two have grown to have with one another. As well as her wish to raise the kits on her own, to a certain extent. She has made a word for her to not to name him as the sire due to Ebonyflare’s former position as RiverClan’s deputy and her wish for her kit or kits not to gain an ego because of their sire’s past rank. 

Cold As Ice, Yet Warm As The Sun – RiverClan Camp (16LN20) – Lilyriver, Merrypaw and Ebonyflare share a casual conversation, showing Ebonyflare and Lilyriver’s mutual respect for one another as RiverClan elders. They speak on the need (or lack-there-of) for apprentices to stand out, and while disagreeing, the two can still live on without getting under each other’s fur.

Elderly Banter – RiverClan Camp (2TW20) – A chat in camp reveals Lilyriver wishes to bring life into the nursery again, Ebonyflare discusses with her and advises her not to, but Lilyriver, headstrong as she is, decided to consider his warnings but keep on her task and what she feels as her duty of herself picking out a sire for a future litter.

A Walk with Reason – SilverFall Gorge (RC Territory) (10TW20) – Lilyriver requests to meet Ebonyflare at the river copse to ask him to sire her litter. She brings up the idea of her having a litter without doing much small talk, knowing that Ebonyflare doesn’t care about wasting time with menial talk. Ebonyflare brings up that he, himself, had advised Lilyriver against having a litter but she is determined and stubborn. Ebonyflare knew he was in no position to change her decision and agreed to sire her litter.

Due to their age, Lilyriver is aware of the complications that could occur for her pregnancy and especially the birth and after for having a litter at her age. And regardless, she believes that carrying a litter is the ultimate test of loyalty for her clan, being willing to risk ones life and wellbeing for her clan is the test of loyalty that a she-cat could take in her opinion, so she is ready to carry her litter for RiverClan.

Kestrelswipe and Beewhisker meet officially, and discuss each other’s clan lives.

Kestrelswipe and Beewhisker build on their friendship established from the gathering, speaking more about their personal lives rather than clan politics.

What’s the Buzz About?

Kestrelswipe and Beewhisker meet on the border, and Beewhisker’s willingness to help save Kestrelswipe from a swarm of wasps makes him appreciate them more. All clan politics are forgotten (except for Larchpaw’s questions), and the two cats focus more on their own relationship.

Question of the Hour

Beewhisker meets with Kestrelswipe to formally ask to have a litter.

Aspenberry first came across Kosmo during one of her adventures outside of WindClan territory. She had fallen over after taking the freedom to run, causing a nasty bump and cut to her head. Kosmo approached her, wanting to help, though Aspenberry was cautious. The bump to the head led to her being more accepting, in which she let Kosmo help her. She was intrigued by him, and hoped that maybe she would see him again sometime.

The two continue to meet randomly across the next few moons, unplanned and unexpected. Aspenberry finds herself drawn to him and his different way of life, and Kosmo seems to have a soft spot for the WindClan deputy, despite his strong dislike towards haling from clan life. Kosmo gives Aspenberry a taste of freedom, and Aspenberry finds herself able to confide in him, expressing her ideals and desires.

Aspenberry and Kosmo run into each other yet again while Aspenberry explores further than she usually does. Eventually they come across a abandoned machine, in which they explore together. The two talk and get to know each other a little better.

He is exactly the sort of company she needed, and the two stargaze while exchanging stories heard from their parents. It is a beautiful night, and Aspenberry finds herself even closer to Kosmo.

Emberdust and Specklenose have grown up together side by side, Speckle only being a moon older than Ember. Emberdust isn’t the best warrior, at least in her eyes. She prefers hunting less skillful prey like frogs and lizards and thinks border patrols are boring. Despite understanding that her own dam lost her life giving birth to Ember and Echo, she still thinks this would be the best way to contribute to her clan – and if complications arise, then she’s alright with that.

Both cats are on good, playful terms and are full of michief. They may not be the most mature parents a litter could have, but Emberdust is truly fond of Specklenose either way. Here are some threads that cement this bond.
