The Bees and the Flora

It wasn't the finest of days to be out and about on a patrol, but it this patrol was one of her favourites because she was on a patrol with one of her kits, her son, Berrypaw. Berrypaw was arguably the cat that reminded Beewhisker the most of themself at his age and the large feline thought that it wasn't hard to tell the two apart aside from appearance. They had pride in themself that the two had held similar personalities.

Beewhisker dropped a rabbit off at the fresh kill pile, against their greater wishes and their watering mouth and watched Berrypaw do the same before their pale gaze caught Bayflower and Cedarpaw from across the clearing.

The large feline's eyes lit up as they darted across the clearing to meet their other kit and who they had told WindClan was the sire, who they had told their kits was their sire. And for all intensive purposes, Bayflower was basically the apprentices' sire. "Hi Bayflower! Hi Cedarpaw!" they cheered, flicking their plumed, dappled tail in greeting.

Without passion you don’t have energy, without energy you have nothing.

Berrypaw was quick to follow Beewhisker after he dropped a mouse off into the fresh-kill pile, completely distracted by his own hunger when he spotted his littermate and his sire across the clearing as Beewhisker led him forward.

"Cedarpaw!" He cheered before jumping forward, nearly jumping on top of his sister buy landing just shy of her and lashing his tail excitedly in greeting before turning his pale blue eyes to the darker feline that stood near Beewhisker. His grin widened as he greeted his sire with a gleeful twitching of his whiskers.

"Hey Bayflower!" He greeted before moving from Cedarpaw to nuzzle his sire. StarClan knows how he was so small compared to both of his parents, but he didn't let his little size bother him too much. Size didn't determine a great warrior, and Berrypaw was gonna be the best of them all!

"Your happiness is mine."

Bayflower had heard Beewhisker's pawsteps as she darted across the clearing to meet herself and Cedarpaw, the tom purring softly at his friend's approach. But his mind seemed elsewhere, like he was paying little to no true attention to Beewhisker. It wasn't his intention to be rude. His mind was just... Occupied.

However, when Berrypaw called for his sister before jumping forward, nearly jumping on top of his sister by landing just shy of her and lashing his tail excitedly in greeting, the feline smiled, proud of the cats they had raised. He couldn't help but think it was strange though. The way they had turned out. Cedarpaw was scarily similar to herself while Berrypaw was terrifyingly similar to Beewhisker. It showed just how big of an effect they had on their kits.

When Bayflower's black eyes met Berrypaw's pale blue ones. "Hey Berrypaw." he greeted, nuzzling him back. "How is your training with Breezewing been?"

"You're a star in my sky!"

"Hi, Beewhisker." Cedarpaw mumbled before beaming at the sight of her brother. The feline purred and stretched before shaking out their fur.

Beewhisker watched on with a noticeable purr of pride as their kits greeted one another. However their expression dropped a little as Cedarpaw simply muttered a greeting to them, had they done something wrong? They wanted to ask, but they would rather not start unnecessary arguments or disagreements. So they simply lived in their confusion until it vanished.

For a moment, Beewhisker paused at Bayflower's question to Cedarpaw, they knew where this was going, they had asked not long ago and had gotten an earful of what they assumed would be the same thing from Berrypaw earlier.

However, the large feline didn't object to the oncoming complaints. Instead, letting out a quiet chuckle that might have been able to melt the hearts of the camp. "This was the best part of my day." they whispered to Cedarpaw and Bayflower.

At Bayflower's question, Berrypaw drawled a long and dramatic groan, rolling onto his side and now leaning against Cedarpaw's legs. He stuck his paws straight up in the air and let out another groan, as if he was trying to act like he was suffering. And to Berrypaw, he might as well have been.

"Oh, Bayflower! It's horrible!" He exclaimed, rolling to the other side and falling flat with an annoyed grunt "All he does is talk talk talk, we don't do anything! Except Breezwing enjoying the sound of his own voice!" the compaints were somewhat fabricated, but only to an extent, Breezewing did talk a lot, and it frankly had Berrypaw bored half to death.

Berrypaw rolled back onto his spine, throwing his forepaws in the air in an artful, theatrical gesture of dispair. "I'll never become a warrior! The only thing I'll do is learn how to be old and grumpy!" he wailed dramatically, but at the last groan, the soft chuckle beneath his voice was hardly hidden.
