Recently, unless kicked out by another one of the queens, Bayflower had actually been sleeping in the nursery - Probably due to the emotional attachments she had to the current queens and kits in the nursery. And due to that, Cedarkit had started copying her sire in waking up at the break of dawn which meant that she'd be bouncing around for the first three hours of the day, being a menace before sleeping for the rest of it, occasionally waking up to eat.

Cedarkit had been awake for two hours now but had been sitting in a corner, grooming their fur before they noticed movement. Wow. Berrykit was awake for once. Not that Cedarkit could talk when she slept so much but still.

The kitten watched as her brother narrated his own actions before pouncing on the leaf, which gave the molly a very bright idea.

Getting down in a crouch, Cedarkit slowly crawled forward until she was one kitten away from Berrykit before pouncing. "GOTCHA!" Cedarkit squealed, attempting to land on Berrykit.

Berrykit squeaked as his sister landed on top of him, but he rolled onto his back just in time to catch his sister and roll over to pin her to the floor. A move he had practice on Sunbear… although it worked much better on Cedarkit than it did on Sunbear.

“Cedarkit! Hi!” He exclaimed when he realised who he had counter tackled onto the floor. His tail rose high as he greeted his littermate. “I was just training to be a warrior! I caught that mouse over there!” He chimed, pointing to the flattened leaf with his tail before flicking it back and forth excitedly, a habit he gained from his dam.

The young tom shook out his short cream pelt, making it slightly ruffled before jumping off of his sister. “Mama told me to keep my body close to the ground so the prey can’t see you! But keeping my balance is super tricky” he stated, though instead of disappointment, his tone was replaced with characteristic giggling and determination.

“Do you wanna try, sister?”
