What is an Original PC Group?
An original PC group is a group that exists here on CoSC but does not appear in the Warriors Book Series by Erin Hunter.
I want to start a PC group, how do I go about it?
Starting a PC group typically begins in character, whether as a dream of a character or the creation of a with a specific set of beliefs gathering cats to the cause they keep. Because of this the groups are expected to meet minimum requirements for the group to advance through the various phases of development.
What are the minimum requirements for getting my group into the system?
Groups are carefully vetted and go through development stages to exist within the CoSC ecosystem. Because of this groups will go through the following development phases, unless they are considered a “Type A” group.
Type A Groups
Type A groups are those developed from beginning to end by the Administration Team. These groups are except from the standard groups development process. Most groups considered Type A are kept secret until they are revealed in character.
Standard Groups
These groups develop in character and are subject to the following development phases:
Phase 1: In Character Establishment
During this phase the group must be developed in character in the following ways.
- Player Character Founder Activity Level: Minimum of 2 posts a month.
- Player Character Membership Minimums:
Players: At least 3
Characters: At least 3. Non-player characters do not count towards this number. - Establishment Role Play Threads: A minimum of 1 thread per character who joins the group.
- Submit the form: This will send your group for review by Staff.
Phase 1 Request Form
If this review establishes that the following have all happened the group will be rewarded with “Provisional Status“.
As a Provisional Group the group will be granted a rank in the “Unaffiliated Cats” Group to create a member list. This permits the group to begin phase 2.
Phase 2: Further Development
During this phase the group will continue to expand in character and some out of character information must be put on file.
- Activity Levels:
All characters must maintain an activity level of 1 thread per moon.
Founding character must hold at least one group specific thread per moon. (This thread does not count as the thread activity for the new group) - Territory Establishment:
Out of Character the Founding Player should work with Kitsu to establish the desired territory for the group. This may include expansions to the game map.
In Character the group should engage in role play related to the establishment of the group’s territory. These threads may count towards either group specific threads or threads for individual character activity. - Proposed Rank Structure:
Out of Character the Founding Player should work with the Admin Team to develop the rank structure of the group. Once finalized the list will become available as Subtitles for the rank in the “Unaffiliated Cats” Group.
In Character the group should begin to assign these ranks to the individual characters via in character threads. These threads may count towards either group specific threads or threads for individual character activity. - Submit the Form: This will send your group for review by Staff.
Phase 2 Request Form
If this review establishes that the requirements have been fulfilled by the members of the group the group will be granted the status of “Developing Group” and the group will be eligible to begin phase 3 of development.
Phase 3: Final Development
This phase will establish the game information and documentation required to finalize the group.
- Submit the Form: This will open the process with the Admin Team
Phase 3 Request Form
A Google Document to facilitate planning and collating the required steps. - Activity Check Proposal: Activity Checks procedure for the group must be developed by the Founding Player with the Admin Team.
- Activity Levels: Activity levels will not be verified for the group by use of the activity check procedure laid out in step 1.

Brief Description of each rank in the group.
Abbreviation for each rank in the group.
Ranks Promoted list for each rank in the group, if applicable.
Rank Acquisition Details for each rank in the group.

- Group Graphics: Work with Kitsufox to create a logo, Icon, Banner and Splash for the group.
- Local Herbs: Provide lists of what herbs are available in the group during what seasons.
- Group Home Map: Work with Kitsufox to develop the location where the group lives into a map.
- Territory Descriptions: Written descriptions for the various areas of the group territory must be provided.
- Forum Proposals: Propose the names and what territory areas are included in each of the four forums that will be granted to your group on completing this phase.

- Group Launch Pre-Meeting: A final going over of the group information, documentation, ranks structure etc with the Admin Team that will result in the group page and ranks being launched, characters being moved from the Unaffiliated Group (and depreciation of the unaffiliated rank) into the new groups ranks, and ultimately the public review of all information relating to the group that has been prepared. At this time the group will be granted status as a full group within the game.
Phase 4: Elevate the Group
Elevation is the way in which a group can receive a special boon akin to the Warrior Clan Leaders’ nine lives.
The staff have not currently decided on the process, which will be announced soon.
