Fawnbriar had just finished up her breakfast, cleaning her face and whiskers with a brown and cream paw as copper eyes scanned the clearing to make sure the dawn patrol had finished their route. She wanted to catch the clan before the hunting patrols went out- it might make things easier for the pair she had in mind. Plus the day seemed like it was going to be a rather pleasant one, which makes it even more perfect for the meeting she was about to call. At least this meeting had good news and would be much easier addressing than her very first meeting she had called with the clan.
Standing, she bowed her back and slide her legs forward in a brief stretch before straightening and giving her pelt a quick shake as she began padding up to the Talking Cliff. Once at the top, she took a deep breath and called.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Talking Cliff for a Clan meeting!"

Cloudflare was just leaving the warrior's den to greet a brand new day, but before he could try and rouse his clanmates to see if he could rustle up a hunting patrol to start the day, he was distracted by Fawnstar's trek to the Talking Cliff. It was a certainly a good time to call a meeting now that most cats were stirring. Cloudflare's copper eyes searched for a familiar spotted pelt and made his way over to her. A purr rumbled in his chest as he settled on his haunches, quiet although he could suspect what the meeting was about. Fallkit was about time to become an apprentice, and he could guess who would be the best mentor for him.

Aspenberry was already out in the clearing, having groomed herself to perfection. Fawnstar had talked to her earlier, and she knew exactly what this ceremony was for. It was young Fallkit's turn for apprenticeship, and Aspenberry had the honour of being his mentor. She had know this for a few days now, but had kept it a secret from her friends. Despite this they could probably make a pretty good guess though, as it wasn't like there was many options. Despite being deputy, Fallkit would be Aspenberry's first apprentice and she was overwhelmingly excited, proud and honoured to be able to guide the young tom's future. She settled down, tail wrapped around her paws as Cloudflare and Bayflower came to sit next to her. She flashed them both grateful glances, happy they had come to join her.
While she had confidence in her abilities to teach, she hoped that Fallkit would like her. She had visted the kit a few times in the nursery, even more with the birth of Beewhisker's kits, and found she had grown fond of his personality. She took a small glance at the nursery, wondering it his head would pop out anytime soon before gazing up at Fawnstar, giving her leader a smile.

Fallkit yawned as he crawled out of the nursery. He was still young, but he was old enough to catch his own prey--he'd just caught a grasshopper the other day! It hadn't tasted as good as mouse, but it still counted, he thought. He wondered what sort of meeting this would be as he waited for Brightmaple to come as well, if she could even take the tiny Heatherkit and Oatkit with them.
