Briarfang's tail flicked back and forth as they led their new apprentice into Riverclan territory. They hadn't expected at all to be named a mentor to one of Boldstar's brood, but here they were, and they weren't quite sure where to start with the grey grown kit. They weren't even quite sure what was going through the young one's mind "Well," they say with a breath not bothering to hide their cavalier attitude, "I suppose you should get the lay of the land? I've never had an apprentice before, but that's usually how these things go, don't they?"
The sun is settin' like molasses in the sky❖ ⭒ ❖ ⭒ ❀ ⭒ ❖ ⭒ ❖ Emberdust reached the smallmarsh, just west of the sidestream, her paws sinking slightly into the softened earth beneath her as she slowed to a stop. The patch of grass she had mentioned was just ahead, dappled with warm sunlight that seemed to glisten on the surface of the ground surrounded by cattails and lily. She flicked her ears back, turning to look for Specklenose, her eyes shining with the thrill of the short dash. "Made it!" Panting a bit, her voice was no doubt eager to show off even ...
The sun is settin' like molasses in the sky❖ ⭒ ❖ ⭒ ❀ ⭒ ❖ ⭒ ❖ The sun was warm on Emberdust’s back, its rays cutting through the chill of leaf-bare in a way that felt rare and comforting. The marsh underpaw was still damp, but today’s pleasant weather had already started to dry out patches of grass, making it the perfect day to laze about without worrying too much about mud. Stretching luxuriously, Emberdust rolled onto her side, letting the sunlight soak into her russet pointed fur. She closed her eyes for a moment, simply enjoying the quiet warmth. But ...
Fawnbriar let the wind blow through her fur and was pleased. It was another nice day for a ceremony for her clan, especially after Rowanglade and Piperpaw had returned from the medicine cat meeting last night. The medicine cat had given the quasi-leader some good news in regards to her apprentice and Fawnbriar was pleased to hear it since it mean she could promote both the littermates to their respective ranks together. The dawn patrol and hunting parties hadn't left just yet and the camp guards were getting ready to trade off so it was the perfect time to ...
She couldn't believe how much the kits had grown. It seemed so recently that she'd caught him sneaking out to explore, not that she could blame him. She was mostly just glad he'd be able to see more of it. And under supervision. That snake incident might have gone well with his siblings, but she couldn't help but be grateful the reptile hadn't been venomous. Heronsong tried to contain her giddiness as she escorted her new and first apprentice out of camp. "This'll be so exciting!" she mewed. "Now you'll be able to go much farther out of camp, Duskpaw. And a ...
Fawnbriar had just finished up her breakfast, cleaning her face and whiskers with a brown and cream paw as copper eyes scanned the clearing to make sure the dawn patrol had finished their route. She wanted to catch the clan before the hunting patrols went out- it might make things easier for the pair she had in mind. Plus the day seemed like it was going to be a rather pleasant one, which makes it even more perfect for the meeting she was about to call. At least this meeting had good news and would be much easier addressing than her very first meeting she ha ...
I may be small, but I’m braver than I look. ✦・゚: *✦・゚:* 🐦 *:・゚✦*:・゚✦ The day was chilly at most, so Robinkit, with all the shortness of her kitten-fuzz was a little cold, though despite that, she was still kneading at a separate nest in a darker corner of the nursery, she wasn't particularly hungry, not as much as she once was anyway, she was more than full for the time being so she had decided to do her own 'decorating' of the nursery, which involved kneading at the dry moss within the nursery's darkest corners. Robinkit's yellow eyes took a glan ...
'I look at things from the heart, despite my brain screaming please don’t!' ✧ ⭒ ✧ ⭒ ✧ ⭒ ✧ ⭒ ✧ Despite no snow having arrived just yet, the weather wasn't exactly favourable as of late. Specklenose had invited Emberdust out for an early morning hunt, hoping that if they brought back a few morning meals their duties for the rest of the day would be a little lighter. Unfortunately, halfway through their search for prey it seemed as though StarClan decided it was time for a little drizzle. Specklenose was soaked, the rain had been light, but it weighed ...
"Let the flowing stream, cool down the nerves"✣‹‹●‹‹✣ ✣››●››✣ Her whole body has been shivering since last night, she aches to get out of the Warrior's hollow, and feel at least any warmth outside. So, Ambersmudge gets up from her sitting spot and heads out of the hollow. A bit of sunlight brightens her coat as soon as she walks outside. Her own tail sways side by side with an expression of ease as Ambersmudge observes her surroundings. "Gee it sure is nice so far...I must wonder how anyone handled the coldness at this time of Leafbare? And oh, yet there w ...
Sometimes strength isn't just how you fight, it's about knowing how to stand firm and when to lend a hand. That's where real strength lies. ═════ ∘◦❁◦∘ 🐝 ∘◦❁◦∘ ═════ The birth of Cedarkit and Berrykit was certainly something that Beewhisker was glad was over. Despite the pain and stress of the kitting, Beewhisker felt nothing but unconditional love for the tiny toms. Despite all that they did was suckle at their belly, it was rather peaceful if anything else. And now that they were in the nursery, they realized just how comfortable and warm it real ...
I may be small, but I’m braver than I look. ✦・゚: *✦・゚:* 🐦 *:・゚✦*:・゚✦ The world was not much to look at from where Robinkit always sat... or rather, crouched in the nursery. She would often attempt to peek out instinctively at the rest of the camp, it must be interesting, so many other cats were out there, Robinkit knew that, she heard the cats out there, she wanted to be out there too. Attempting to move her paws evenly across the floor of the nursery, though, it was much more of a toddling wobble. Once on her paws, Robinkit waddled towards the e ...
Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light; I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night✧ ⭒ ✧ ⭒ ✧ ⭒ ✧ ⭒ ✧ The chill of leaf-bare clung to the air, and the once vibrant marsh was now touched in a chill as the sun sank from its peak in the sky. The sun hung low, casting a pale light over the camp as dusk began to settle. The fresh chill only sharpened Palestar's focus. With a steady voice, she called out to her Clan. “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here in the shelter of the briar patch for a Clan ...
Sometimes strength isn't just how you fight, it's about knowing how to stand firm and when to lend a hand. That's where real strength lies. ═════ ∘◦❁◦∘ 🐝 ∘◦❁◦∘ ═════ Beewhisker had begun to feel a heavy pressure in their lower belly, so much so that it had knocked their concentration from the prey they were pursuing, which had happened a lot during the day if they were being honest with themself, their belly had grown rather large, too large to chase down rabbits in fact, so they had more recently stuck to the field mice that scampered about. But ...
Sunstrike had found herself slowly gravitating towards the nursery over the past moon, checking up on the walls and sorting out moss - and that was before Wildcry and Stormfall had spent time fixing it with feathers and more brambles. Now she was a resident and not entirely unhappy about it. Her announcement to the clan had gone somewhat smoothly - her mother took it as well as she thought she would - but Sunstrike didn't really worry about Quailcall's attitude and overbearing presence. And now? Well, then a cat starts to waddle around camp more than walk i ...
Courage is doing what is right, even when nobody is watching. ~・゚: *~・゚:* 💧 *:・゚~*:・゚~ The day was.. less than adequate for a hunting patrol, so this was one clearly a patrol of boundaries, though, last time Coldgaze had sent him on a patrol it had been with Bloomfire, and Goosesong had decided to calmly hunt elsewhere. Though that was a while ago from what Goosesong recalled. With a flick of his ears, he turned to see Coldgaze, the RiverClan deputy, padding up behind him. It wasn't surprising, this was no solo patrol after all, but what Coldgaze w ...
