Plot Thread Embers Dim

In death comes peace, united with starry forebears

The elder's den was dimly lit. The day was dull, persisted by snowfall. Within a moss lined nest Emberback stirred, his breaths growing slower and more shallow, nestled himself in his nest with a peaceful expression. The fur along his flanks barely stirred in his exhalations, rhythm almost imperceptible. His tail, thin and delicate with age, rested over his worn paws.

His slumber was punctuated by thinner and thinner breaths, before his chest heaved slowly one last time, dreams taking wing as the old tom found himself at the border of StarClan never to walk his earthy form in WindClan again. Despite not involving himself much in clan life in his old age, one of his last thoughts was of his offspring and their futures.
