Garden's gem, in sunlight's blaze

Merryaster's shoulder had been feeling much better as of late and after spending enough time resting she was ready to return to her duties as a mentor. She had taken her apprentice to the riverside, and the journey was a pleasant one - birdsong and a blanket of clouds shielding the worst of the heat.
The river here moved steadily, but the current was gentler than it was near the deeper bends and seemed a good place for any beginner. They'd start here among the reeds as the she-cat looked out over the bubbling water. "It's a beautiful day for a swimming lesson." She meowed, voice nearly a purr, pleased to go out for a purposefully stroll.
She stepped onto a broad, flat rock near the bank, placing each paw carefully before shifting her weight from side to side. Her thick tail extended behind her to help keep her steady. "The rocks can be a bit slippery, so be careful." They'd start with feeling the pull of the river while they were only partially submerged, and moved around to be with her apprentice again.

Skypaw quickly fell into a matching pace with Merryaster as they moved towards the river, her paws followed the prints that Merryaster's had left behind her as she glance toward the namesake of their clan. Today, she seemed to be in a bit of a better mood than her and her mentor's usual training sessions. Perhaps it was because their usual training sessions were had less of her confidence and more of her needing to obey every rule and worrying about if she was doing certain things right or wrong.
But today, she was excited to learn how to swim alongside her mentor, the thing that made RiverClan stan out against the other clans. The thing that made them RiverClan. It was something she was looking forward to oh so greatly.
"Yeah, it is." She chirped excitedly her tail curling over her back as she picked up her pace. For a moment, her paw slipped on a wet stone. But the white she-cat quickly caught herself from toppling into the water, letting out a sigh of relief when she found herself still on dry land. "Maybe you could... demonstrate?" Skypaw gave a nervous, embarrassed chuckle at her mentor as she made the suggestion with a slight shrugh
