Quailfeather slipped into the clearing one of the new apprentices, Wolfpaw, flanking him. The quiet tom wasn't his apprentice, but all the apprentices had come to the gathering today, and he was quite fond of all of them. So there was little complaint from the chocolate tom as he slipped easily into place beside another chocolate tom with sepia pointed fur. Great StarClan he was huge... perhaps he was a kit descending from the larger cats in ThunderClan's bloodlines... well the major one he's heard of.

The young warrior didn't quite introduce himself right away, just made his presence known with a gentle nod toward the other warrior of which seemed about two moons his senior. Not much older than Quailfeather at all. He wondered what ThunderClan was like for a warrior of his age and size, perhaps it was different from ShadowClan. Maybe.

And finally, a soft "Nice night?" Left Quailfeather's mostly white maw, not shy, not exactly secretive, but a little more reserved than usual. He wasn't sure what it was, was it the sheer size of the tom next to him? Or was it simply the gathering making him a little antsy... StarClan knows.

I’m not different. Am I?

Wolfpaw took to Quailfeather's flank protectively, he knew that he was a well adjusted warrior, but from what Wolfpaw had heard from his mother and Quailfeather himself, the younger warrior always seemed to have a streak of bad luck when it came to being out like this. However he didn't seem to see anything that could go wrong, so the younger tom let him be.

He was inclined to follow his mother, but he didn't he was an independent apprentice now, and it should be time for him to do this on his own, even if his sisters may have assumed otherwise.

With that, Wolfpaw moved to an empty seat within the clearing, no cats around, but it was enough room that he could see the leaders perched atop of the great rock in the center of the vast clearing. And thus, Wolfpaw acted on what he did best, observation.

Robinpaw drifted off with Tigerrush to where the other medicine cats would be, it was only the two of ThunderClan and Flutterdream there as of now, but Robinpaw was sure that WindClan and RiverClan wouldn't be far behind them. She wondered if that RiverClan medicine cat, Nettleplume, still had something against her. She didn't intend to ask, but she wondered why he seemed so avoidant or if Robinpaw had actually done something without realizing.

The calico apprentice turned to face Flutterdream and nodded to her in a calm and certain greeting "Evening, Flutterdream." She greeted before turning as Moosestar took his leap onto the great rock beside Palestar. She had been to a gathering once before, she knew... vaguely who these cats were, but there would likely be new ones each gathering... well, until she would have met them all that it.

But for now, it was simply time to listen and mingle before announcements began.
