You know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby

The camp was warm, with sunny, clear skies that flung out their happiness like wings of a bird. Moosestar, himself, felt pleased. He was laying just below Highrock a majority of the day, hunting once before returning back. A sense of peace came through him for the time, as, right now, it was approximately sunhigh, where the sun held itself in the center of the sky, dancing in delight.
However, a reminder clicked in his mind. You need to do the ceremonies. You need to do the ceremonies. YOU NEED TO DO THE CEREMONIES.
Ever since the kitten-fight with Brindlekit, his mind rung with who to make Brindlekit and Dovekit's mentors. We're so small.. we only have a few warriors, most of which I don't even trust as mentors..
He swallowed, breathed, and then felt an idea in his head. Perhaps.. perhaps it would work.
Standing to his paws, he leaped up upon the warm high rock. It made a sense of confidence go through the brown leader as he walked towards the place where the pawsteps of Goldenstar used to stand. Goldenstar..He bit his tongue. Goldenstar was gone. He couldn't linger. He had to be Goldenstar, under his name, Moosestar.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the high rock for a clan meeting."

Anyone in Thunderclan can join this thread, but Brindlekit, Dovekit, and the rest of their litter are required to attend!
Brindlekit, Dovekit, and their siblings are becoming Apprentices today!
The High Rock as well as the clearing beneath it!

Brindlekit had been preening herself in the sunlight, every tongue swipe meticulous as she warmed herself in the sun. Sometimes there was so much time, and she didn't fancy sleeping away most of her day, so she kept herself neat and tidy. She was barely aware of her surroundings within the walled fortress of camp - something that would surely have to be enforced should she ever become a fair warrior, but for now, in her kittenhood, she did whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted.
Swiping a well manicured paw over the side of her face, her ears flicked at the sound of paw falls nearby. It wasn't long before she heard the voice of Moosestar boom over camp, calling all cats forward to hear the announcement. Immediately she was interested, pausing in her groom to bounce to her paws, eyes wide with focused excitement. Could this be it? Was this the day she became an apprentice?

Nestled in the Elder's den, Bravesong turned in his moss lined nest. It was warm and newly lined, and so shaped perfectly and comfortably around his usually sore zones. A voice slowly roused him from his slumber, a mild curiosity rather than a necessity. A yawn pitched his maw back, body shuddering in a stretch before he tip toed out of his nest and out of the den. His eye was immediately drawn to Mistyleaf, and padded over to sit next to her while she groomed herself. He remained silent as to not surprise or distract her from her task. He merely offered his company, although after a moment it was accompanied by a soft purr.

Dovekit was sprawled in a sunny spot near the nursery, in the middle of a very thorough bath. Speckledfrost had hinted that she and Brindlekit should look their best by sunhigh but they always made sure to try and look well groomed, rather than disheveled, like Dovekit always thought her other two siblings looked. Surprisingly, she and Brindlekit seemed to be rather meticulous in their appearance and made sure to keep well groomed.
One thing she was pleased with was how close the nursery was to the Highrock, which meant while everyone was gathering, she still had time to finish up the last bit of her bath. Spreading her toes on one hind leg, she put the last few concentrated licks between them before relaxing and shifting her weight so she could now concentrate on the finishing touch. Lapping at her forepaw, she ran it over her ears to wash behind them and inside them as she waited to hear what Moosestar had to say.

Moosestar swallowed, seeing as cats slowly gathered below him. He had never practiced something like this with Goldenstar; that was improper, at least, Goldenstar thought so. Either way, he had to do it now. He had no choice but.
Welp, here we go.
“We are here today to give two their apprentice names. Come forward, Brindlekit and Dovekit.”
He called. His voice was strong, but unfamiliar to most of the clan. It had a sense of nervousness that hadn't been found in Goldenstar's. It wasn't horribly noticeable, but it would probably be there for a few more meetings until Moosestar was comfortable with his leading position.
Love me or hate me, that is the question.

Brindlekit wasn't familiar enough with the subtle nuances of clan leadership to distinguish, or really care whether or not Moosestar sounded like a proper Thunderclan leader. She and her sister had been preparing for this day for what seemed to be forever! Framed in her best light, the she-kit nearly bounced up and down on her toes at being called up to receive her name.
Head held high, she tried her best to disguise her excitement for the weight of importance this ceremony held. At Moosestar's summons, the mottled she-cat rose, tail arching high as her eyes were bright - eventually making her way to the lanky brown leader. After all this time, she would be finally getting her apprentice name!

The petite brow tabby had been dozing in her den where she had yet more herbs drying. She had enjoyed a nice breakfast and been out early to get what she needed, but the call from Moosestar roused her and, blinking sleep from her eyes, she stretched and padded from her den to join the gathering cats at the Highrock. Her gaze softened as she heard it was time for the kits to be getting their apprentice names. Looking over, she saw Brindlekit trying to mask her excitement and her sister, Dovekit, look up from where she had apparently been finishing up a bath. Now was the moment of truth- the answer to what every cat was wondering as they watched the kits: who would be their mentors?
((Dovekit))
Green eyes sparkled as Moosestar called her and Brindlekit forward. Finally! It felt like they had been waiting forever for this day to come! Like her sister, the blue and cream she-kit stood and began to move towards their leader and the high rock with what a walk that she hoped expressed her excitement in a polite way. Head and tail held high, Dovekit joined her sister's side, pelts brushing, and stared up at Moosestar. Her body quivered in nervous excitement but thankfully, only Brindlekit was close enough to see or feel. "This is it!" She whispered under her breath to her sister, her voice squeaking slightly.

Moosestar's eyes were nervous, excited, and calm at the same time. It looked a tight bit odd, Goldenstar had never done that, but he was his own leader. Perhaps this was just the feeling of a brand new leader. He swallowed, seeing who had arrived and who had not. Cmon, get going. He thought.
“Mistyleaf." Pause. "You will be mentor to Dovekit, who will now be called Dovepaw. Mistyleaf, you are Steady and Slow to Anger. I believe you will be able to pass on all you can to this young apprentice.”
He felt peace in his bones, but he wasn't done yet.
"Thunderclan is low on warriors otherwise that I see fit, so, I will mentor Brindlekit, who will now be called Brindlepaw. I am authorative and observant, as Goldenstar has said before. I believe I will be able to pass on all I can to this young apprentice."
Moosestar leaped down from the high rock, and stood before Brindlepaw with a gentle smile. He then crouched to the right height for Brindlepaw, allowing her to touch his nose.

Green eyes widened eagerly as she heard Mistyleaf's name be called. Dovekit had watched the older she-cat as she had gone about the camp and the kit thought that the warrior seemed like she might make a really good mentor. And then Moosestar was announcing her as Dovekit's mentor! She did get her! And she was Dovepaw now!
The newly appointed Dovepaw had to stop from dancing in a circle of delight as her mentor came up to her. Keen green eyes saw the surprise and Dovepaw wondered if Mistyleaf had been wanting to be a mentor. Didn't the leader talk to their warriors about who would mentor or had Moosestar just sprung this on her?
As she moved to touch noses with Mistyleaf, her eyes darted towards Moosestar, feeling a little confused and uncertain now. If her mentor didn't want to be a mentor, was it because Mistyleaf didn't feel herself was ready or was it because she might not want Dovepaw as an apprentice?
"Thank you." After their noses touched, Dovepaw added. "Congratulations to you too! I'll try to do my best for you!"
Love me or hate me, that is the question.

She could feel her heart fluttering in her chest. She had been waiting for this day since... well, she couldn't quite put an exact time on her growing desires, but it was always present right under the surface. Her bright eyes flashed towards her sister as she was called, and at the larger she-cat who was summoned to be her mentor. Mistyleaf would be a good mentor for Dovepaw, she thought with an inward nod, but Moosestar...
Her mentor! Vibrating with new found excitement, the brown leader came down from highrock to meet her, and she anxiously rolled on her feet. Achieving, prehaps, the most able of all the cats - the leader of Thunderclan would turn into the most able bodied warrior the clan had ever seen! Gingerly the she-cat touched noses with Moosestar, exhaling a feathery. "Thank you! i won't let you down!"

Moosestar felt his anxiety slightly melt as excited Brindlepaw touched his nose. This kit.. his apprentice. She was so excited, it was practically infecting him, making him giddy for the future the two would head down as mentor and apprentice. He smiled down at the apprentice, before lifting his head, looking to the clearing, before announcing loud enough so they could hear;
"Thunderclan, you are now dismissed."
He hummed, smiling at the cats around him before he took to Brindlepaw's side. However, his anxiety returned to him when he spotted Mistyleaf's surprise and uncertainty in her eyes. He swallowed. He'd talk to her about it after a week.. to ensure it was going alright, to reassure her he could reassign Dovepaw if Mistyleaf didn't feel up for mentoring an apprentice.. Am I doing this right? Am I supposed to tell them beforehand? His eyes gave their own uncertainty of his own decisions. Cmon.. Let's just try this. If it doesn't work, we can always reassign apprentices. Goldenstar did that once or twice.. it's not too weird. He tried to reassure himself, but he honestly wasn't sure how much he agreed with those thoughts.
