Berrypaw trailed rather... unenthusiastically behind Boulderdash and Oatcloud, he understood why there had been warriors on the patrol with him, but why not his mentor? He was well aware of his own capabilities, slowing them meant he wouldn't get a warrior ceremony for quite a while, and the plan had been successfully pulled into motion. He just needed other cats, namely Fawnstar and Emberdawn, to notice his struggles, and from the glances from Oatcloud, he already had.

When they stopped for a drink, Berrypaw shrugged, the heat wasn't exactly a great bother as it was to longer haired cats like Oatcloud or Beewhisker, of whom seemed intent on not leaving their nest, but honestly, Berrypaw couldn't blame them, if Oatcloud seemed this uncomfortable he couldn't imagine what Beewhisker would have been like in the heat.

He was about to take a step toward the water and hesitated when Oatcloud called him over a 'moment'... this had to be interesting... he thought to himself, the hesitation leaving him as he went to join Oatcloud by the water. "What's up?"

Berrypaw, unprepared unintentionally allowed the grapple to take place. He hissed, however, it was mostly in surprise but it was quickly gargled as water filled his mouth and the space around him. Kicking out harshly with his hind paws, he was easily able to slip from the grip and trusted his lungs to float him upward.

After a few flailing attempts, Berrypaw gripped the edge of the water with all four paws and pulled himself out up and out, letting out a single cough of water before taking in a breath that could have lasted a moon if he had let it.

Now drenched, the cream tom twisted around the face Oatcloud, dripping fur still bristling, despite himself. "What the heck was that?! I was fine in the heat!" He snapped, his teeth weren't bared, but his muscles were tensed. He was definitely not as amused as Boulderdash was with the small splash of water on her. That would have worked fine if Oatcloud was so insistent. "What's your problem?!"

The comment from Boulderdash didn't necessarily tick him off really, in fact, it didn't sound terrible. The nursery held all his best memories so far. "I have no problem. You're the cat throwing your clanmates into water for no reason." He let out a bitter huff, shaking out more of his creamy colored coat.

"I'm not about to be anything, anytime soon." He stated almost matter-of-factly, he fully intended on getting worse, if Oatcloud and Boulderdash thought he was acting like a kit fresh out of the nursery, they'd be interesting to see the reactions of when he's even closer to twelve moons.

When Oatcloud huffed something about him hating his clan, hating being an apprentice, hating his life. He whirled on him, not with an attack or bared teeth, but with an indifferent huff of his own. "Oh and you would know what I think? Is that it? You think you know me so well? Fine." Berrypaw then stood on all four paws and sturdily stomped up to the apricot tabby tom "Go on then, tell me what's wrong with me. You seem to know sooooo much about me from some crappy training sessions. So you tell me what my problem is."
