A lot was on Palestar's mind as her fangs scythed a mouthful of meat from a belly-up lizard at the mouth of her den. From the arch of her own personalized space, her mismatched eyes briefly flicked up from her meal to glance around camp, hoping to catch any loitering outside their respective dens or gathered around the freshkill pile.
Having just finished her own meal, her tongue lapped at the lingering splatter of blood on her chin, savoring the unique flavor of the reptile before her form brushed passed the entrance of her den with a stretch. Front paw sweeping forward as her body dipped in a elegant swoop as her claws flexed into the dirt. When she stood, her eyes were set towards the Talking Spot- excitement of the Gathering had long since kept her mind busy with deciding who she would bring with her tonight.
Soon the moon would rise to its zenith - and with it, would her words bring the host of proud shadowclan cats underneath the shelter of the briar patch.

Hollyclaw was in the process of eating a lemming when Palestar got up. It was almost time for the Gathering announcement, wasn't it? She wondered what news the other Clans would have to share. Hollyclaw didn't really concern herself with them outside of their interactions with ShadowClan, but it was still good to know how they were doing.

licking her lips, Clovershine turned her attention towards her sister as Palestar called out for the clan. She had just finished a meal and was pleased that she was already in the right area. This had to be about the gathering and Clovershine couldn't wait to hear who was going!

Satisfied with the height of the moon, a small smile rose to her lips as she made her way to the talking spot among the briars, stride steady and proud before she turned to address the clan, summons outstretching to every corner of camp. "Let all cats old enough to catch thier own prey join here in the shelter of the briar patch for a clan meeting!"
Her eyes fell upon those who had already nearby, before she waited the customary moments for the rest of her clan to assemble. Head craned, Palestar's voice brought purpose as she continued. "As you are all well aware, it is Gathering night. Along with Briarstream and myself, Hollyclaw and Clovershine will accompany us to Fourtrees. To those who remain and are not assigned border patrol, organize yourselves and get some hunting done.That is all."
And with that, she dismissed her clan - poised and ready as her body padded purposefully towards the west tunnel. Her odd eyes fell upon the two other she-cats, and motioned them with a sweeping arch of her tail. "Let's go."
