After depositing another piece of kill to be proud of into the fresh kill, a fat squirrel that wandered too low from the trees, Hailstrike was about to go meet with Otterwhisker in the elders' den. It had been a few days since she had seen her mother, however, something more... entertaining caught her eyes.

Hailstrike didn't speak at first, she wanted to see if Galekit could smell that she was there before actually seeing her as she turned to stalk the white kit from behind. Hailstrike kept her paws light on the camp floor, almost undetectably to the untrained ear. That was the fun of it, seeing if Galekit could see her before she spoke, or was it Skykit? Those two looked so much alike she got mixed up a little sometimes. But now that their eye colors were coming in, she noticed the kit she was followed had flashy ambers instead of Skykit's icy blue eyes, Wonder who gave him those. She pondered as she followed the little tom around camp.

"Where are we sneaking off to?" The young warrior whispered, flicking her tail with a quiet ambition that she carried ever since starting her apprenticeship, that was just Hailstrike, nothing changing that anytime soon. "Some secret warrior mission? Off to show Cinderwisp what those sneaky paws can do? Or just bored maybe?" She trilled, using her tail to straighten the kit's back. "If you really want to be sneaky, you'll have to crouch a little lower, don't let that belly fur brush against the ground so it doesn't mess around with the gravel." she advised, though there was a hint of amusement in it. "That's how we warriors do it."

The white tom continued to move not noticing the she-cat that trailed him. Galekits ears perked as he got close to standing outside the tunnel, his amber eyes squinting at the light. His excitement to see around more of the camp was short-lived as he was frightened by a tall warrior his fur standing on end as he stared forward, slowly the tom turned his head half expecting to see his mother standing next to the she-cat. Signing in relief that his mother was nowhere to be seen, his face burned angry at the fact he could be so easily snuck up on and spooked.

“I wasn't sneaking! I was…” he tried to continue though nothing came to mind, he was sort of sneaking, but he wouldn't admit that especially not one that scared him. be blinked as his back was straightened by the warriors tail, looking up at the she-cat instructed him on what to do lowering his head he looked to make sure none of his fur touched the ground, his muzzle frowned staring at the small dirt on his belly fur from crouching to low when he exited the nursery though now as he was sneaking through the Rabbits Warren the warrior was now pointing out that he wasn't crouching low enough.

His face scrunched “what else do warriors do?” he asked the older feline making glances to the tunnel that he had left the nursery for hoping that she-cat would know what he wanted. Looking up at the she-cat he gave her a smile widening his eyes, he knew it worked for Skykit when she asked their mother for things, but that was they're mother, he didn't know if it would work for a clanmate like kin.

When the little white kit looked up at her with those pleading eyes, Hailstrike forced down a chuckle before it could rise in her throat, instead, it simply roused itself as a slight smirk that curved her mouth faintly. "What else?" Hailstrike chirped leaning down to face the fluffy, white kit and meet his gaze with confidence "They go out on hunting patrols and hunt prey to feed the clan, which includes brave little adventurers like you." she mewled, swaying her tail as she balanced herself in her crouch.

"But there's another big thing all warriors do..." Hailstrike began lowering her voice to a whisper but keeping a feigned seriousness in her tone, as if she were trying to tell an engaging story to the kitten. "It's the most important thing." She added with a well concealed chirp of laughter. "All us warriors have to bravely fight off all the predators and cats from other clans to keep everyone safe." 

For a moment, Hailstrike broke her crouch to puff out her chest proudly as if she had already thought herself an esteemed warrior of the clan, in spite of her having her warrior ceremony not too long ago now. She wouldn't have anything esteemed going for her yet, but in order to get there, she has to try. "That's what warriors do."
