Private Thread Shadow and Shine

Even in the darkest shadows, there is always a glimmer of light. We just have to look for it.

Clovershine trudged along the melting snowy path until herself and Dazzlepaw had come to a clearing wide enough for some decent battle training. She placed her paws softly on the ground, a slight limp made her gait a little lopsided but that was never out of the ordinary for her, especially her.

“Dazzlepaw, today we’ll be trying something a little different today” The cream pointed she-cat began, flicking her tail over her shoulder for a brief moment to guide Dazzlepaw forward before she stood as tall as she could in front of her apprentice, watching as his ginger tabby fur blew only slightly in the wind and nearly lit up with the sunlight. Even though he was her apprentice, she could never forget that she herself had raised her as his dame. And oh how proud she was to have that title.

With a moment's silence, she adjusted her shoulders and held her stance more sturdy. “I’ll be teaching you some more advanced dodging techniques today, and if we have the time, we can do a few battle moves. But I’d just like to cover the dodges at the moment, make sure you remember them” she added, her tail flicking softly for a moment. “Are you ready?”
