I've been thinking for a while, and since CoSC is a version of Warriors where Rusty never set foot, there are most likely many prefixes that are considered unacceptable, or questionable ones that have not been in the books. Therefore, I propose a list of acceptable prefixes for both newer players and those who need inspiration for making new characters.
This list would most likely be named Acceptable Prefixes, the only name that I can think of that actually fits. Of course, it will not be a list of all the prefixes that are allowed to be used, just some that are kind of older and not as common anymore to use for characters.
I can certainly sympathize with not knowing how to name a character or with naming it something that just seems... wrong because of the setting of this RP game's setting. Here, if it is considered an interesting or possible topic to talk about, all of us can make suggestions for the list or just debate upon certain prefixes.

I have long felt like the idea of creating an "Acceptable" list runs a risk of making people feel mentally limited rather than free to run their brains until they stumble on something that interests them. And sometimes names that wouldn't be acceptable can be made that way with the right backstory (See Savagefox, who was born Foxkit, and named a Warrior as Foxstream).
We also, unlike the books, don't adhere to strict continuity of prefix. Which is especially common when the adult name reflects a personality trait that simply wouldn't be evident by the time of naming the night they're born.
And also... The list of "Acceptable" prefix would have to be insanely long! I feel like having a short list of things that aren't acceptable, or are only acceptable under specific circumstances, gives players more encouragement to roam. Especially when there are so many ways to find things like random warrior name generators or view the list of all characters on the Warriors Wiki.
Huh. True that it would be really long.
Personally, I've always found that warrior names from the original books didn't fit, and the same goes for name generators. Most of the time they give me terrible names that I either don't understand or ones that just aren't fitting.

Maybe not "Acceptable", but "Inspirational" prefixes? I know it would still be long, but It wouldn't be to hard to make something that everyone could add to, right? Besides, that would open up new routes for interacting with new players. Personally, I think the current messaging (did I misspell it?) could use a little bit of work for those who can't use discord like me. It's definitely hard to go to other people's profiles all the time to have a chat. Even though the private chatting is welcome, it would be nice to have a chatting area that people actually check, especially since the Chatterbox is honestly kind of empty.

I still believe that a list like that would psychologically make people feel limited. There are a ton of places online that people can find name inspiration. We're honestly intended for people This site is about presenting CoSC's rules and take on the warriors world rather than presenting every possible reference for things like that. Our documentation help files are focused on specifically addressing world interpretation things, medical documentation that improves on the canon, and history of the game.
Sadly, you're missing what has become an essential part of the social environment of the game. Most days there's activity on the discord on and off all day. I'm sorry about that, it's just faster, easier, and more casual than the forum. The messaging system is part of the forum software, not something I'm going to modify in any way. Sorry. You can find a full list of all the PMs you've sent on your personal profile.
Also... You're currently the only player who doesn't use discord. That means trying to improve things on the site for communication wouldn't exactly be a far-reaching use of what time I do have. I feel bad saying that, but there's no help for it. Especially when improvements to things like the character sheets, genealogy charts, and the like will reach more players.
