Severe Pain | |
Description: | Pain is an unpleasant sensory stimulus that indicates discomfort or a sense of physical danger or the possibility of harm. Severe Pain is that which interferes directly with the ability of a cat to function in day to day life. (IE: Pain so severe a cat cannot walk without a drastic limp) |
Treatment: | For severe pain that results from an injury the patient should be encouraged to refrain from the action that causes crippling pain when not specifically working the body parts involved in the harm with instruction from a Medicine Cat. This is in addition to the treatment of the injury itself. For complaints involving internal pain the patient should be made as comfortable as possible while the root cause is treated. |
