He patted through the camp stopping as he spotted a dark red she-cat making her way through the camp and towards the clans elders den, he quietly followed the other feline hiding behind anything he could to avoid detection. As they entered the den the she-cats paws padding on the ground thick with moss, his eyes narrowed as he watched the adjusted the nest of moss, it had been a while since he had seen Sunbear mostly confined to the warm den that was the Nursery.

He watched from the entrance of the moss covered den before as quietly as such a young kit could entering and lowering himself to the ground as he stalked toward the moss floor closer to the elder as she gave a few licks to her thick red fur. His eyes that were narrowed slowly opened as he leaped jumping onto the elder with a huff.

“I Cinderkit of windclan have caught Sunbear!” He announced as if it was a great accomplishment. With a giggle he lowered his flank to speak “Hi Sunbear!” He smiled at the older cat his tail swishing behind him as he swayed with it, he was obviously happy with his accomplishment of stalking an older cat that to his knowledge had no idea he was there

Sunbear's ears perked as she heard a shuffling of tiny paws, however, she didn't move or make any sign that she knew the kit was there, by scent alone she figured it was Cinderkit, one of the two chocolate mink and white kits that Aspenberry had begun raising to mighty cats.

As much as Sunbear had known of his approach, she still bowled over, rolling to her side when Cinderkit pounced onto her, making him land on her flank instead of her spine. "Oh no! Mighty Cinderkit, what a mighty hunter you are." Sunbear praised him like he was her own apprentice, but her voice was... lighter than usual, lighter than she used with older cats anyway. "The nursery too boring for you was it?" she asked, taking the tom-kit by the scruff and pulling him to the spot at her side. 

She let out a breath, not a chuckle, not quite, not yet, but close enough. "Or were your littermates too sleepy to keep you occupied?" Her tone was flat, but warm as she pulled a stray clump of moss from his fur and using her tongue to flatten the fur that fell astray from the removal. "Maybe you just came to visit? But that pounce of yours had something behind it. So what's up Cinderkit?"

He blinked at her question opening his muzzle to speak before he was gently lifted to take a seat next to the fluffy elder.

He giggled softly as his fur was fixed by the she-cat “Wanted to see how far I could get before you’d notice” he narrowed his eyes at the elder “but you didn’t notice me at all!”

The tom-kit puffed out his chest in triumph before lowering it “But the nursery was getting a little boring..” he whispered. Lowering his head he laid it on the ground thick with extra soft green moss “But what were you doing?” He asked his eyes darting from side to side thinking of what the feline would have been doing before he has pounced.

Sunbear let out another amused breath, the twitching of her whiskers threatening a smile that curved her mouth briefly before flattening back to her usual stone-like expression. "Yep, sneaky as a mouse you are" she replied, the faintest sign of a chuckle shook her shoulders as she rolled onto her side, stretching out her legs with a small groan.

"Yes, the nursery can get stuffy with so many in there, and you know all your siblings well. Am I right to assume its a little predictable?" Sunbear flicked a torn ear and twitched the dip of her dark tail. Her hazel eyes moved to the little tom that seemed rather content in the moss nest that she adjusted to fit her comfort. Perhaps the two found comfort in the simple things, StarClan knows. "Me?" she echoed at the question, as if she didn't really expect it to be asked of her.

"I was returning from a walk, I was about to relax in my den, maybe see if I'd get any visitors." She replied, flicking a paw, the walks she took every few days kept her joints moving so she didn't grow stiff as quickly, she had no intention of stopping these walks, and stars know who she could still meet on them. "And here you come, the company I hoped for."
