Having given Beewhisker the space they needed with their kits, Aspenberry had not found the opportunity to get to meet their two little scraps of fur all that well, especially now that their eyes and ears were open and she could hear their gentle chatter from outside the nursery.

Today was a day of light rain, in which Aspenberry returned from patrol, a little wet, but clean nonetheless. She gentle announced her arrival with a few taps on the nursery's wall with her tail before making her way inside, the heavy warmth from the thick, insulated walls a nice greeting compared to outside. She remembered the first time she saw Cedarkit, the tiny she-kit had wriggled towards her, snuggling up against her side. This time, Cedarkit was outside her nest, her tiny paws kneading at some moss as she crafted it into some hill looking thing while a few tiny twigs lay next to her. Aspenberry could already feel the purr rumbling in her throat, 'Hi Cedarkit. What are you making? It looks very interesting.'
