Open to Join This Name of Mine

Skyblossom sighed, lashing her tail and continuing to pace across the clearing, something she’d been doing periodically throughout the day, quite repetitively, in her mind. She felt so restless! She’d been out hunting multiple times that day, yet it hadn’t done anything to help her clear her mind. 
If she tried to ask somecat to listen, her throat would lock up and her thoughts would suddenly not be uniform. She knew that. But if she didn’t do something, she was sure her thoughts would eat her alive.

Yet… who would she go to if she finally mustered the resolve to actually try? Skyblossom didn’t have her parents. She didn’t have any siblings. She didn’t have any reliable friends. She didn’t know her distant kin very well, or even really at all. She didn’t have anycat to go to. She didn’t have somecat to listen to her.

Lashing her tail, she turned on her paws, continuing to pace, sighing heavily again. Sure she lived with and cared about ThunderClan. But she didn’t know any of them. They didn’t know her either. Sometimes it felt like they were all strangers pretending to know each other. At least, that’s how she felt. Skyblossom felt like all of them saw her as a stranger and only pretended to know her.

And then, of course, she was also afraid that if she did reach out and confide in some cat, they’d brush it off and tell her to worry about more important things or wouldn’t understand. Then of course, she didn’t want to be selfish or seen as such…

Maybe it would be better if she just didn’t say anything. Just pretend everything’s fine. Yeah… that sounded safer…
