There was some soreness in Dawnflurry's muscles when he got up, but it was nothing activity couldn't distract him from. As he strode from his den to the Talking Spot, he glanced in the direction of the nursery and let hopefulness fill him. He hoped Glowkit was settling in well.
Once everyone was assembled at the bramble patch, the deputy meowed, "The sunhigh patrol will be led by Redthicket, the dusk patrol by me, moonhigh patrol by Heronsong, and tomorrow's dawn patrol by Hollyclaw. Sootbounce and Quailfeather will organize the hunting patrols."
