Talking Spot at the Briar Patch
23
Dawnflurry stepped out of his den at his regular time, but the deputy felt distracted. His tail swished slowly back and forth as he padded to the Briar Patch. Thoughts clung to his mind like prickly burrs on fur and couldn't be dislodged with a plain shake of his pelt. He stilled his tail once the warriors had assembled.
"The sunhigh patrol will be led by Brackenwing," he told them concisely as usual, "I will lead the dusk patrol, Sootbounce will lead the moonhigh patrol, and Hollyclaw will lead tomorrow's dawn patrol. Dazzleflame and Specklenose will organize today's hunting patrols."
