Cloudflare padded alongside Smallclaw, his copper eyes catching the faint gleam of moonlight reflected on the frosted moor. The air was crisp and cold, carrying the sharp, clean scent of the open land. His broad shoulders rolled as he kept pace with the smaller warrior, his steps deliberate but unhurried.

"Not every day someone asks me to hunt rabbits at night..." Cloudflare mused, his tone light but curious. "Most would call it ambitious - or a bit sky-eyed." His voice carried no malice, only a thread of amusement. He glanced sidelong at Smallclaw, his expression unreadable in the dim light but his tone warm enough. "Keeps the blood pumping. I'll let you take the lead. What's the plan?"

Smallclaw wouldn't wanna answer back yet, since he wanted to keep an eye around where the two had finally arrived. He isn't only seeing, the warrior is also using his smell and taste. When the warrior focuses his two senses in good use, he is met with cold winds with a hint of grass and dirt. Already familiar with the surroundings as expected. But Smallclaw was sure there will be an actively awake rabbit around night time. 
"The plan? hmph..I could keep my nose up for a sign of rabbit scent. Faintly there is none of it present so far, but we will keep going." His tail flicks as a signal for the senior warrior to follow him. The surroundings over this field have gotten much colder at night, he can feel it under his paws. And with that, he hopes to bring just one rabbit back to camp with Cloudflare. 

When he was nearly padding over to the East treeline, His nose caught something on the frozen ground. 'Scent! Rabbit scent!' It's a surprise there is one that hasn't faded away now. This time he crouched lowly to the ground as he followed the trail of the rabbit scent. "If we keep following this scent, we'll need to start staying low. Until the rabbit is found I will leave you to it." As he would say to Cloudflare and glanced at him. Whatever trouble will happen to the senior warrior, Smallclaw will be there to chase after. He won't let the prey rest and neither himself.

Cloudflare followed Smallclaw's signal with an easy gait, his copper eyes scanning the frostbitten moorland as the younger warrior pressed ahead. The cold bit at his paw pads, but he welcomed the sensation as it kept him alert. Smallclaw’s focused demeanor earned a quiet nod of approval from Cloudflare, who recognized the younger tom’s determination, even if his words carried a sharper edge.

As Smallclaw’s sudden shift in posture caught his attention, Cloudflare slowed, lowering himself instinctively as the other warrior spoke. At the mention of the rabbit scent, Cloudflare’s nose twitched, drawing in the air. He caught it too - faint but unmistakable. His ears swiveled forward, fully attuned to the hunt now.

"Good work." His movements became fluid as he adjusted his stance, the weight of his larger frame distributed carefully to avoid crunching the frost beneath his paws. Cloudflare met Smallclaw's glance with a confident smirk, his tail brushing lightly against the frozen ground. "Once we get close, I’ll move in fast. You keep watch for an escape route in case it bolts."

With that, Cloudflare stalked forward before he spied tawny fur on the moor. Once he tied to scent to the image, he moved forward in time with how the rabbit foraged.
