Who (from RiverClan): Boldstar, Willowfrost, Nettlepaw, Alderfly, Cottonbright, Thornstrike
Out with the old - In with the bold
‹‹‹‹ ››››
Boldstar led his RiverClan Contingent over the rockpath and into the open space between the four oaks that surrounded the Greatrock. It seems that RiverClan had made good time and managed to be first this moon. He was happy to have managed the trip so well, and settled himself facing the RiverClan oak at the base of the Greatrock. Having the rock to his back made Boldstar more comfortable despite the knowledge that soon the groups from the rest of the clans would come spilling into the clearing.
It was peace-time, but that didn’t make him comfortable or willing to trust the other clans. He knew his legends. Anything was possible during a gathering.

Pressure like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop, whoa. Pressure that'll tip, tip tip 'till you just go pop, whoa.

Alongside the rest of her clanmates, Cottonbright emerged into the clearing, her size and color making it quiet hard for her to quietly meld into the sea of cats that followed. Hating to be the center of attention, she seemed to tiptoe forward, politely considering who might arrive from the other clans.
The tip of her tail gave a tell tale twitch of excitement, however, and while she didn't progress very far, wouldn't be so against another if someone wanted to speak with her. Settling near the familiar shape of Alderfly, Cottonbright exhaled slowly before her eyes peered upwards towards the full moon.
"T-that's a good sign..."

Following both his leader and his mentor, Nettlepaw had to play catch up as he had spotted a patch of attractive looking comfrey patch, noticing its wide, hairy leaves. He had half an instinct to try and collect some leaves, but instead made a note to try and gather it at a later date.
Clan borders couldn't stop a medicine cat from traveling where they needed to go, and the knowledge gathered was a benefit shared. Proudly, Nettlepaw stepped into the sacred clearing. Underneath Starclan's light was exactly where he wanted to be, even if that meant the other clans would be present too.
Lightly sitting onto his haunches, he positioned himself by the Riverclan oak, but far enough away to perhaps tempt any into conversation.
Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light; I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night

Twas a beautiful night. Terribly hot, perhaps, but under the cover of darkness it was more bearable. Likely, the heat was the cost of her speed, and while she felt herself guiding her clan underneath the Thunderpath and towards Fourtrees with expedient purpose, somehow she wasn't the first clan to settle in, it seemed.

The heat of the night burdened that of a cat, one's fur often dry to the sunlight which burned above while the paws brewed up a sweating storm below. It was dreadful for the average cat, but Thunderclan was surprisingly able to dodge the issues of heat. The forest made a good barrier towards the sun's rays, meaning shade was almost always available.
What was terrible about tonight, though, was that the heat didn't stop at the sun, but it was thoroughly soaking the forest. Dreadful, absolutely nasty.
Well, it was just one of the things a clan cat would need to brave.
Thunderclan, for a leader's first gathering, made actually rather decent time. The log which one had to cross to reach across the river often made it slow progress, but Moosestar had managed to do it with enough efficiency that just as Palestar spoke, young Moosestar trotted up.
Unlike the rather solemn Goldenstar, who often gave only a simple greeting and a respectful nod, Moosestar trotted up with a warm smile, nodding to the two older cats with both respect and a friendly edge to it.
"Greetings! Rather fine weather we're having, aren't we?"
The tom greeted, joined with a nice sarcastic remark. Overall, he didn't seem terribly nervous- a positive, considering he was a new leader, bringing his clan to his first Gathering- but also much more outgoing than the tom before him. Whether that was good or not, was up for debate.
Either way, Thunderclan has arrived.
Windclan attendees:
Badgerstar, Fawnbriar, Rowanglade, Cloudflare, Shadesleek and Brightmaple
Fawnbriar followed the black and white form of Badgerstar as her leader made his way to where the other three leaders were gathering. She didn't follow, as she wasn't a leader herself but she glanced around and realized that Windclan was the last clan to arrive. Well, that was a pity, but someone always had to arrive last and it didn't look like they had arrived too late the party. While she wasn't fully friendly with the other clans, she was at least polite and made her way to the spot where the deputies sat, watching the rest of the clans curiously. Fawnbriar wasn't going to decline socializing, but she was content to just do some cat-watching.
Brightmaple puffed softly as she entered the Gathering clearing, trailing after her clan. It was to be expected- she was an elder after all so she wasn't in top form like she had been when she had been a warrior. As she paused to catch her breath, golden eyes looked around to see who all had made it to this gathering. Hoping to eventually see an elder instead of some energetic apprentices or overly-boastful warriors, Brightmaple made her way off to the side where it was a bit more quiet but she could still be approached.
Tigerrush trotted into the clearing behind Moosestar, the usual energetic spring in her step, before shifting her paws to where the medicine cats generally gathered. She wondered what the other clans might have for news and felt her belly clench with anxiously. She hated to admit that the prophecy was giving her anxiety, but when she wasn't distacted by chores, she often had to make herself relax tense muscles and not let her mind wander and worry. The worst part was Tigerrush was concerned that she was starting to become distracted and unfocused on her clan, even as she was trying her best to do just the opposite.
Dovepaw made her way down into the clearing after Moosestar and Tigerrush, her paws weary. She wished she had at least had the time to take a nap before heading to the Gathering, but she supposed this was the life of an apprentice and, as she was training to be a warrior, she had better get used to it. The dilute calico she-cat looked around curiously to see if it had been all warriors who had been allowed to come from the other clans this time and she was the only apprentice, or if any other apprentices had been allowed.

Living, sometimes, seemed such an arduous task of monuments proportion. His blue eyes had danced briefly at those who gathered, and fell further towards the dirt, where he blinked curiously. A dark beetle struggled on its back against the sand, its small legs kicking weakly. Running on air as it attempted in vain to reright itself - eyes narrowing, the tomcat paw flashed against its shiny hide, returning it to its proper position, but it was too late. The beetle was dead.
He glared hard at the tiny insect for another moment before he was brought back to his senses. As if predicting what Willowfrost might have chided to him about finding some cat or another to talk to, he spotted the familiar brown tabby shape of the Thunderclan medicine cat. A younger cat in her years by circumstance, younger... more approachable.
Playing off the fact he glared daggers at a simple bug, he sauntered quietly towards the she-cat's side, offering a brisk greeting that could have cooled the torrid summer air. "Have you noticed anything suspicious in Thunderclan territory as of late?"
Never one to beat around the bush, nevertheless, Nettlepaw had an insatiable hunger for knowledge at the potential cost of charisma.

Wildcry moved efficiently alongside Moosestar, nose alert to the budding scents of the clans as they moved on the ground like the efficient unit they were. Pleased with the turn of the night, and especially how her son was joining them, the younger elder confidently strode into Fourtrees, her appearance an echo of ancestors past as her large ticked form padded forward. Her pace hadn't slowed much in consideration... however, a panting non-thunderclanner elder piqued her interest.
A Windclanner. Dirt kickers. Cottontail-chasers... "Trip a bit rough on you, dear?" She seethed through her fangs.

Cloudflare was happy that he was chosen to go to the Gathering. Visions of cream and tabby flashed behind his eyes, and he could still recall her scent... Clovershine. Would she be within the ranks of Shadowclan tonight?
Clearly he needed some cat to distract him and his copper eeys lifted towards the throng of cats gathered. That was one of the benefits of arriving last to Fourtrees. Every cat was theoretically already there.
Exhaling with some small amount of relief seeing that his Shadowclan friend wasn't among them. Taking a few strides over to the Riverclan oak, he offered a greeting towards a large white, nervous looking she-cat and introduced himself with his usual laid back cantor.

Green eyes lifted to glance at the Riverclan medicine cat apprentice. Tigerrush's ears twitched uncertainly before she nodded a greeting in return.
"Nettlepaw." She greeted lightly. "There has been an unusual occurrence in our territory recently, but I apologize. I shouldn't speak much on it until Moosestar decides he wishes to share it. At least for the moment."
He was obviously curious and digging for some information but she knew she needed Moosestar to declare things first before she could expound on anything. "Anything unusual in Riverclan territory recently?"
It didn't take her long to catch her breath once they actually arrived. Folded ears perked as best they could as Brightmaple glanced up to see a grumpy-looking Thunderclan she-cat approach her.
"Been a tad stiff this moon so made sure I made it to the Gathering to stretch my legs." Copper eyes blinked before she lifted a white forepaw to her face and licked a paw before running it over her face. "Glad to see you had no issues making it here tonight."
