Long Description :

Ravendusk is a black she-cat with medium length fur. Her paws have slightly lighter colored fur covering them, but it is barely noticeable because it matches the dark color of her fur well. She also has a dark gray v on her forehead. She has one amber eye and one light blue eye.

Personality

Ravendusk is a loyal she-cat that keeps her promises, no matter what affect it may have on her. She is outwardly cheerful, but inwardly, something darker lies beneath the sunlight. Darker than the deepest of black.

Kit History

Ravenkit wasn’t quite like the other kits, rarely playing or socializing. She was always more mature than she should have been, appearing calm and collected while the others were childish and playful. She was often seen lying in her nest or in the shade of tree, a blank expression on her face. The questions she asked herself were much deeper than the questions a kit her age should ask, almost as though she were born knowing the darkest things that happen in life.

“What is the meaning in life? What does it truly mean to love? What are friends? Why does Clan come before kin? If Clan comes before kin, does that mean that I’m not cared about?” These are but some of the questions swirling within her mind. Deeper, there are more questions, some that are rarely ever asked, and most about things that most don’t even need to question.

As she always acted coldly to those who interrupted her deep thinking, most cats stopped trying to be friends with her, not because they disliked her, but because they didn’t know how to interact with her. There were only a few cats that she spoke with, the leader being one, but as a cat that was in a high position, their relationship remained that of leader and learning kit.

Apprentice History

As an apprentice, Ravenpaw began learning how to hunt and fight, finding both very interesting. The way one fought varied between cat and Clan, and the way one must hunt changed depending upon environment and ones own well-being. She asked her mentor many questions, and the answers she got normally only made her more curious about the subject. Of course, there were many questions that she kept to herself, not wanting her mentor to criticize her thinking. What was there to criticize? She didn’t know. She simply wanted to avoid getting yowled at.

During her early apprenticeship, she became interested in herbs and StarClan, loitering outside the medicine den every once in a while trying to muster the courage to ask the medicine cat some questions, ultimately giving up after she was scolded for eavesdropping, despite the fact that she hadn’t been listening to anything that the cats inside were saying. Skulking off to the empty apprentices’ den to sulk over being scolded, she closed her eyes, her vision flashing red as her consciousness slowly drifted. She’d seen death over and over, yet no cat in the Clan had died in-between the time she was born to now.

Later in her apprenticeship, she and her mentor were sneaking through the leaf-fall forest, practicing the skill of stealth. As she crept, her surrounding changed, her mentor suddenly nowhere to be found. Startled but not scared, she slunk through the mist, ignoring the deep pools of blood that she had to walk through, the sticky blood that clung to her fur not bothering her quite as it should.

When her surroundings were back to normal, she found herself beside her mentor, no traces of blood anywhere on her fur. Sighing inwardly, she began some cheerful, short chatter with her mentor, her training finished for now. The changing of surroundings was normal for her, as it had been happening since she was a kit. None of the other kits could see what she could, and she had only learned this after she watched them playing so happily, as if they had never smelled blood before.

Warrior History

As a warrior, Ravendusk began trying to socialize more, but it was hard for her to interact with cats that she barely even knew. She had spent so much time contemplating trivial things that she never thought about interacting with cats. How was she supposed to start a good conversation? Were conversations even important?

Soon she became a little better at interacting with cats, but things were still awkward. She’d never tell anycat what she saw, but she hoped that one day, she could find another cat that experienced something similar, even if only a little. Of course, the chances of that were very low. She’d simply do her best to find out what her interpretation of happiness was, even if it took until the day she died.

  1. Overall Recommendation : Carefully read the instructions for each field. The includes the use of the content within the links provided in those instructions (or this review) as needed.

Affiliation : ThunderClan Warrior, None – You’ve entered a subtitle for a rank that is not eligible for one. I did use your confusion to clarify the instructions just a bit further in hopes others might avoid the confusion.

Vitals : Born in the Moon of Cheetah’s Flight (2021). Living at the age of 0 moons (0 years) : Please review the Moons Page to figure out which one is the correct one for your character’s desired age. The number in front of the moon is not the age. Until the moon of birth is correctly configured it is impossible to approve this character sheet.

Personality : ‘a kind and caring she-cat’ – Please describe what you think give the impression of the kindness and careing rather than interpreting your character for others in a type of power-playing.

    History :

    • suffered from a severe lung disease, but somehow survived’ – Which lung disease?
    • As she grew, she was not allowed to play like other kits’ – Why not? No leader or medicine cat would tolerate her being isolated from the rest of her age-mates when she wasn’t infectious anymore. The Ranked cats would have interfered, overruling a mother who tried this in most cases. Unless you specifically get permission from the players the deputy, leader, and medicine cat at the time of her kittenhood this simply could not have conceivably occured.
    • ’she was not allowed to play’ – See previous comments concerning clan leadership and toleration of unreasonable restrictions. Queens are not autonomous becons of power over thier kittens.
    • Ravenkit rebelled though, sneaking out at night to practice a somewhat clumsy hunting crouch or forepaw slash.’ – Most of the clans keep senturies at least at night (most during daylight hours, too). Keeping secrets as a kit who is perpetually confined to camp is basically impossible. Between centries, off duty apprentices and warriors, the elders and queens there’s basically always someone around who’ll see something. And most of those cats would have been thrilled to teach skills to the kits (espeically some of the more gregarious apprentices or tolerant warriors).
    • Once named an apprentice, Ravenpaw was immediately treated like a kit again, her mentor only allowing her to hunt, only showing her battle moves and not letting her practice like the rest of the apprentices.’ – This sentence got a little confused in the middle of itself. I’m going to assume that no battle moves were being taught. Given that without combat skills she could show in her evaluations this just woiuldn’t be a thing. This would be a case of negligence on the part of the mentor. Knowing Moosestar and Goldenstar (I’m not 100% sure which one it would have been because of the age issues) as soon as it came to light they’d have a new mentor. And a warrior who would loose all respect from the leadership of ThunderClan. Warriors need to be able to fight at least competently to be earn the rank.
    • ’sneaking out of camp and following the sound of rushing water. Finding herself at the RiverClan border, she looked across, seeing a sudden mist spreading out. [. . .] Whipping around and meeting the attacker head on, she slashed at the small fox’s eyes, leaping out of the way as its claws came towards her. As she fought a sudden burst of excitement made her claw at the fox harder, watching as its blood splattered onto the ground. As she was frozen, triumph and pride spreading through her, the foxes claws suddenly met her shoulder, scraping downward and leaving a long, shallow but bloody wound behind before bolting clumsily into the forest, blinded in one eye.’ – The fox situation bears some consideration. As an unaccompanied apprentice sneaking out of camp would be tricky given the sentries I talked about earlier. If you can find a player with a young warrior they’re willing to have screw up pretty badly on duty, it can fly. As for the fox… Assuming mid apprenticeship she’d be maybe 7lbs, give or take. And assuming that the fox is an adult gray fox (the smaller of the two species) and on the absolute tiny end of the size range… Maybe 8ish lbs. So they’d be similar size, but the fox would have the advantages of age, experience, and training. I know you’re trying to make your character have epic main-character level adventures here, but you’re not writing the main character of a book. You’re writing a character who was young, inexperienced, and (as you’ve written it) entirely untrained. With a rescuerer saving the day, however, this would work. Probobly sent after by the sentry who noticed too later to simply bar their exit. This might seem picky, but we prefer most of the epic moments to happen in role play. Your character will get chances for greatness once they’re live in the game.
    • ’Once she received her warrior name, their were many speculations about what it meant. Could it mean the change in her from being weak and sickly to brave and capable? Or could it symbolize the spreading of her wings like when a bird leaves the nest? Maybe it was just a reference to her wing-like markings on her belly?” – Power playing. And also: Not to be a Debbie-downer, but it seems like a perfectly normal name for a black cat… If you want to put this sort of thought on your own character, them looking for something deeper than “ravens are black and have wings” would be a perfectly find way to keep the vibe of this without making other people’s characters have speculated.
    • she would carry proudly until the day she died, or unless she somehow found herself as the leader of ThunderClan‘ – This is not acctually true. Notable events sometime change cats names.
      • Why did you write a history when you thought the character was a newborn? This is a role playing website, not a fan fiction one! Or a gamified place where you build you character by completing minigames. Have you ever participated in any type of forum or chat based role play before? Or any other form of collaborative storytelling?
