Petalsnap has a red tabby cap-and-mantle pattern and deep brown eyes. The lower half of her face is white, as well as her chest, underbelly, forelegs, and back paws. Her medium-length fur gives her a soft, fluffy appearance. Her nose is pink, as are her paw pads. |

Personality Compassionate Petalsnap just likes cats and enjoys most company. She has a warm disposition and loves to help other cats out, if only for an excuse to have company. Restless Petalsnap has too much energy for her own good and despises inactivity, especially physical inactivity. Distraction via productivity is her cure for all ills. Pragmatic Petalsnap tends to be matter-of-fact, almost forthright in circumstances that allow it, and she appreciates brevity and directness from others. The bulk of her emotions and their reasons for being are an enigma to her and she is content to keep things that way. Her least favorite activities: philosophical discussion, gossip, and heart-to-heart conversation. Though she loves spending time with other cats and doesn’t mind hearing their woes, she would never, ever, spill her own guts out. Self-critical/Competitive In Petalsnap’s mind, she’s either the best or not nearly enough. Dogged by the question of whether she’s working hard enough to justify the distance between her abilities and what she thinks they should be, Petalsnap constantly trains. Pointing out her weaknesses is a sure way to make her upset, but compliments go in one ear and out the other. |

Petalkit was a ball of energy from the moment she opened her eyes. She played and fought with the other kits with equal ferocity. Her mother went missing when she was five moons old. Petalkit later learned that she had been abducted by twolegs. Petalpaw grew into an eager student. She was apprenticed to Basilflame. Though not exceptionally talented, she trained relentlessly, spurred on by impatience and competition. Her confidence in herself, strong from kithood, hit a peak at this point. In the early days of her apprenticeship, Petalpaw was brazen and fiery, but gradually mellowed out as she matured. Petalsnap’s pride bruised slightly upon her introduction to the law of diminishing returns as it applied to the effects of training. This humbled her slightly. She continued to train vigorously after her apprenticeship ended. Her temperament cooled until she only possessed a fraction of her former fire. |
