Long Description :

Fawnghost’s most notable feature are her muscles. She takes great pride in them, along with her many scars. Her pelt is obsidian with a few splashes of orange here and there, although it appears to be crimson. She is of large height, towering over most felines. However, Fawnghost lacks in speed and is slower than the average warrior due to her size.

Personality

Fawnghost tends to be quite stubborn, often obeying her own commands. She prefers to listen to cats that have a similar mindset or idea as her, if not the same. She enjoys going on border patrols, especially when tensions are high as it gives her a chance to get her claws in someone’s fur. Not only that, but Fawnghost oftentimes, if not always, skips over how much of a potential danger someone or something could be, instead rushing headfirst into battle. This recklessness has caused her to get lectured frequently, even being demoted to apprentice duties once. She finds it a huge bore to stick to tasks, unless glory and fame is on the line – or the lives of her clanmates. Fawnghost considers herself to be loyal (despite seeing the code as unjust) and nothing can make her abandon ShadowClan. Nothing at all.

Full History :

Childhood

Fawnkit was born on the 27th day of the moon of Lion’s Glory, 2019, in ShadowClan’s medicine den. Her mother, Timberback, considered herself a force to be reckoned with – her father, Thundercrest, however, was much, much softer. He spent the majority of his time fawning over her, which is the reason Dunestar named her Fawnkit.

Thundercrest had always wanted a legacy of his own, mainly one where he could be active in their lives. He and Timberback were good friends, and both saw value in one another. At first, they thought of it as odd, but ultimately decided to do it. He would have children to love and raise, and she would have children to teach and shape into her image of perfection.

With her father, Fawnkit was never rushed. She was always told to take her time, and was allowed to learn naturally. He always played mossball and hide-and-seek with her, especially considering the fact that she was his first and only kit at the time.

With her mother, Fawnkit was treated somewhat the same. She played games with her, was patient with her, but also taught her about survival, strength, and obeying one’s guts. The two frequently play fighted, although Timberback never bothered to teach her any actual moves during her time as a kitten.

Apprenticeship

At first, Fawnpaw lived only by her mother’s teachings. After all, how much trouble could it possibly get her into? ..Alot. First, she traveled far from ShadowClan territory and into ThunderClan’s, which earned her a thirty minute lecture on the way home, tick duties, AND a whole moon in camp. Next, she drew blood during a spar, which earned her another lecture! Her mentor, Cicadaflash, was gradually (and visibly) growing tired of her. Timberback and Thundercrest had a small bicker over who was doing the best job at parenting, which made her mother realize just how dire the situation was. During a solo walk, Timberback decided to try her hardest and have a pep talk with Fawnpaw. Her daughter admitted that she’d been trying to please her, which led to her saying this:

“I appreciate the fact that you’re trying as hard as you can to follow my steps, but… It’s gotten you into lots of trouble. You have to carve your own path now, your own story.”

You have to carve your own path now, your own story. Those words stuck with Fawnpaw for the rest of her life, heavily inspiring her. She spent the rest of her moons learning from older warriors and apprentices, mainly focused on sparring and mastering her fighting abilities. Cicadaflash taught her about stealth and speed, although she only learnt one – which is stealth. Try and try as she might, Fawnpaw just couldn’t push herself to move faster than her body allowed her to, otherwise it’d burn and make her limbs sore. Not only that, but she specialized more in fighting than hunting. Although she could stalk her prey exceptionally well, Fawnpaw couldn’t chase it down.

Adulthood

Fawnghost was named after her stealth – or rather, her silent paws. She found it quite hard to bond with felines who had the opposite morality of hers; carve your own path, your own story. She often found herself disobeying others, which included deviating from plans and creating her own and/or refusing to listen to given orders during major situations.

Her disobedience nearly cost her her life a few times. Twice, to be exact. During a border patrol with her parents, Thundercrest and Timberback, the three had encountered a dog. Her father suggested reporting it to the leader, or at least luring it away from camp. Without a second thought, Fawnghost lunged at the beast. Tufts of black and crimson fur went flying as the canine tore them off, her tail ensnared within its fangs. Even then, she refused to back down, repeatedly swiping at the creature with her sharp claws. Out of pure instinct, Timberback threw herself at the beast, with Thundercrest following suit. Soon enough, the dog ran back to where it came from. Fawnghost was in critical condition and had to stay in the medicine den for a few moons.

Her next encounter was with an eagle – only this time she was alone. Fawnghost had decided to practice hunting, mayhaps a mouse or two would do. She didn’t hear the wind swooshing above her, and was suddenly lifted into the air. Her first instinct was to attack, so she bit and swiped until her claws met feathers, which eventually caused the bird to drop her. Fawnghost was only a few meters from the ground, but the landing wasn’t particularly soft and she had to spend yet another few moons in the medicine den.

  1. Welcome to CoSC! Sorry for the delay. Just a few things to edit, and it is common for newcomers to have a couple rounds of that.

    Personality:
‘This recklessness has caused her to get lectured frequently, even being demoted to apprentice duties once.’ – Probably a thing better moved to history as you can explain that better there in that instance
‘despite seeing the code as unjust’ – Can you describe how she sees the Code as unjust?

    History:
‘Although she could stalk her prey exceptionally well, Fawnpaw couldn’t chase it down.’ – Fawnpaw would have been required to show that she can hunt reliably before becoming a warrior, as they have an exam to determine before earning their names.
‘Fawnghost was named after her stealth – or rather, her silent paws’ – I believe Kit said that she’d allow ‘ghost’ if it was in the instance of ‘ghost of a scent’, more of a smell than hearing factor
‘She often found herself disobeying others, which included deviating from plans and creating her own and/or refusing to listen to given orders during major situations.’ – Recklessness is one thing, but blatantly disobeying orders is another. Dunestar or Palestar woudln’t have taken that lightly especially if she was endangering lives like in that case with the dog
