A large, longhaired ticked chocolate she-cat with curled ears and aqua eyes

Eaglecry’s fur is long and chocolate toned, her ticked tabby fur framing her large, muscular (semi-cobby) build. Her body is fit and unscarred but the effects of age slowly make their mark on her, despite how tall she stands there will always be an ache in one place or another, only to be getting worse overtime. But nothing a quick trip to the medicine den wouldn’t fix. She holds thick, mane-like, fur around her neck that are colored similarly to the striping on her back and lower legs. While most of her body is a chocolatey brown, two separate markings on her aqua eyes, a splash of coloring on her paw and the upper parts of her muzzle are an off-white (white genetically however overtime the brightness has faded)

Her ears are curled and shaped differently from most if not all shadowclan cats, being lightly tufted at the tips. Coming from her sire’s geneology that travels back two generations. A short tail was also inherited from her sire, while not bobbed it is most certainly shorter than most of the tails that one might see in the average warrior. Her large stature is given from her dame, Ratfreckle, who once, generations ago, came from a line of MaineCoons

A gentle giant could be one of the best ways to describe Eaglecry. She is often very nurturing to all and any younger cats that come to her for anything, whether it be a piece of advice, a story or even just having someone to sit with, Eaglecry would be there for any cat that needed her. As well as sharing help with others, she is not afraid to seek help when she really needs it, considering herself humble enough to ask for help instead to trying to deal with her problems on her own, especially if a problem becomes a struggle.

She is one to shower others in compliments, while hoping none of her compliments seem empty or hollow because most if not all times, she never intends them to be. She simply sees the genuine best in any cat she meets, which may come of as naivety but she is not blind to the flaws of a cat, not really seeing them as flaws or imperfections, but seeing them as a part of the cat, and weather that would cause her to have a negative or positive opinion on a cat is entirely up to Eaglecry herself.

Kithood: 

Volekit was born in a litter of two with her sister, Mousekit to her mother, a seasoned queens named Ratfreckle, who had already had a litter prior consisting of Honeyglow and Frondwhistle. She and Mousekit were more than close, nearly inseparable from one another in the nursery, often getting into all sorts of trouble, while Mousekit was the more adventurous, mischievous type, Volekit was quiet emotionally mature for her age, often politely visiting the elders and checking up on cats she thought didn’t seem happy and trying the best a kit could to comfort them when they actually were upset.

So Volekit often just followed Mousekit in her escapades for something to do and to not make Mousekit upset while simultaneously indulging her mischief. All the way until their apprentice ceremony, although, the two never made it out of camp without Mousekit’s excited squeals alerting one of the warriors or Ratfreckle.

Apprenticeship:

Volekit was apprenticed as Volepaw to her mentor, Stagfrost a noble and supportive cat, and Volepaw being their first apprentice made the young apprentice a bit unsure. However her uncertainty soon ebbed away as her mentor’s confidence rubbed off on her. She always remained her kind and grateful self no matter what, just used different means to do so as she grew. Instead of delivering flowers to the elders, it was prey, and instead of playing with Mousepaw, she gave her advice on her training when she needed it, her kindness never left, just changed and grew with herself.

The kindness followed her to her late apprenticeship, she and her sister were out on a patrol when suddenly, an osprey swooped down to the two of them, aiming for the smaller of the cats… Mousepaw. Volepaw acted quickly, leaping toward the osprey as the the talons narrowly missed her sister. Volepaw wrestled with the bird for what felt like moons until finally… the shrieking of the eagle fell to silence, Volepaw had killed it, saving a shellshocked Mousepaw before she could get stolen.

Warriorhood:

Consequently, Volepaw received the name Eaglecry a moon prior to her twelfth moon, in recognition of her bravery and compassion. A moon later, her sister was made into Mousewillow, embodying resilience and optimism. The two experienced their early years as warriors in a state of peaceful tranquility, as peaceful as possible despite minor border conflicts and a few gruesome leaf-bares. However, they persevered, until… one of them didn’t.

During a particularly brutal leafless season, Mousewillow contracted greencough, which swiftly progressed to Blackcough, ultimately leading to her demise.

Eaglecry was devastated by her sister’s passing, yet she carried on with her responsibilities as usual, regardless of the loss of the brightness her sister had brought to the world, The world had to continue to shine in her absence, and she was certain that Mousewillow would wish for Eaglecry to witness the world illuminated without her, even if that light would never be quite the same.

Retirement:

After many moons in the Moon of Running Prey 2021 of warrior duties, Eaglecry felt her body weakening, she had went to Palestar brought up the idea of her retirement, and since she didn’t have an apprentice and no longer needed to do her duties, she was given a place with her maternal half-brother among the other elders in the elder’s den when she would now and forever reside in peace and tranquility
