Ask to Join A Nest That's Just Right

The warrior padded in a direction to the warrior's den. Letting out a tired huff from all the hunting he's done outside of camp, and Smallclaw is looking forward to taking a restful break. His bedding must still be nice and comfy enough for the warrior to dive onto right now. 
As he walked in the den and padded over his bedding, Smallclaw's eyes widened when he saw something fluffy on his resting spot. The tom had his eyes on them as he circled around bedding. Seeing who it is, being Heatherkit in his bedding, Smallclaw frowns and shakes his head. "Errrm...Excuse me, what are you doing right there?" he quietly but firmly asked Heatherkit, who is snoozing in his cozy bedding.
The warrior sits down in the moment, looking down at her with his frown still present, waiting for her to wake up. 'I ought to nudge this kit off if she doesn't get out of my bedding immediately...' he'd say in his head, yet Smallclaw knew better not to do so.

Heatherkit’s nap was blissful, wrapped up in the warmth of Smallclaw’s carefully crafted nest. She was dreaming of chasing leaves across camp, her little paws twitching as she dozed.

But then a voice drifted into her dreams, breaking through the soft fog of sleep. It sounded firm yet quiet, like her mother’s voice when she was reminding Heatherkit not to wander too far. Heatherkit’s ears twitched, and slowly, her aqua eyes blinked open, adjusting to the soft light of the warriors’ den. She saw a pair of paws in front of her, then tilted her head up to find Smallclaw’s face looking down at her with a slight frown.

“Oh! Hi there...!” Heatherkit squeaked, still a little drowsy. Her eyes widened as she remembered where she was. “I… I was just… testing! I wanted to see if warriors’ nests were as comfy as mine!” She offered him a sheepish grin, hoping her charm might ease his irritation. “Yours was just the comfiest!” Her paw brushed along the outer rim before she pushed herself to her feet.

"Right...I do appreciate the compliment. But it's bold for you to slumber on my bedding though" he says to her, with his tone still hadn't changed yet is slightly calmer. The tom lays a paw on the edges of the nest, pressing in to see if it is still alright. When the bedding is perfectly fine, he looks back at the kit who is still on his bedding. "Well, you should be awake and ready to get off my nest yeah? Heatherkit? Smallclaw's my name, and I've come from another tiring patrol, so warriors like me need a nap from one.."
 Then his head turns to look out of the den, trying to take a look at the distance from here and the nursery den. This makes the warrior secretly grin and then shake his head, since all kits should remain inside the nursery, but even he had done this before. Adventuring outside of the nursery before any of the other kits were old enough to walk on their paws.

Heatherkit blinked up at Smallclaw, her sheepish grin growing. “Sorry, Smallclaw...” Her murmur was soft, padding carefully out of the nest as he checked it. She watched him curiously, noticing the glimmer of amusement in his eyes even as he tried to look stern.

“I just wanted to see what warrior nests were like.” The lilac tortie kit continued, glancing back at the carefully arranged moss and feathers. “Your nest was just… perfect! It’s smaller, but still soft and warm!” She gave an approving nod, as if she’d completed a very serious inspection.

She caught his glance toward the nursery, the tip of her fluffy tail giving an enthusiastic twitch. “When I’m a warrior, I’m going to have the comfiest nest ever!” Heatherkit declared, her aqua eyes sparkling. “Maybe… almost as nice as yours.”

For a moment, Heatherkit hesitated before adding "If you need help making it extra comfy, I’m really good at finding feathers - or moss!”
