 The nursery walls had been recently patched, its floor lined with a cozy layer of moss and mouse fluff, freshened the day before. Once the nursery had been lifeless, with only the scent of past cats come by to tidy - at least before the events of the Gathering. Bravesong had been caught mouth agape as a lone kit was delivered to camp, rumors of it being a gift from Starclan among the whispers that returned alongside her.

Moosestar had approached him with a rather interesting proposition. Forgo the Elders den in favor of housing in the nursery to look after this kit, newly named Coyotekit, for what he imagined to be her orange eyes ablaze on her lilac pelt. At first he didn't know what to say. Starclan, even Wildcry had more experience raising kits than he did - but in the end, he accepted the task, honored that Moosestar would even consider raising and teaching the young kit their ways.

It was at this time, a moon after the gathering, that Bravesong nestled in his extra large nest of mouse fluff and moss.
