Shadesleek's tail-tip twitched. She and Oatpaw hadn't even gotten far from camp before she started pacing a bit as she debated what she could teach him that day. The twitching turned to her tail swishing, then flicking, then lashing once until she realized what it was doing and stopped.
"Sorry," she mewed gruffly. "I just feel... really distracted by everything lately, and I know that's not very mentorly of me and it's not even really grief, I don't think, but—"
Shadesleek stopped herself from rambling on. She took a breath and tried to sound more collected. "Um, is there anything specific you wanna work on right now?"
