Dawnflurry stood before the Talking Spot as usual for patrol assignments. The dawn patrol had already left, but the sun had barely risen and there was work to be done. "I'll lead the sunhigh patrol," he began, "the dusk patrol will be led by Heronsong, and the moonhigh patrol by Hollyclaw. Brackenwing, I trust you can organize a hunting patrol or two with the others."
That about covered it. He didn't need to tell this lot not to be mouse-brained, he hoped.
