Open to Join RC Deputy Assignments (Melting Water '21)

Coldgaze's patience had been tested again and again these past few moons and it showed today - not on his face or in his voice but through the ever anxious twitch of his tail and pinned ears.

"Cats of Riverclan!" He called from his perch, not bothering to wait until all eyes were on him.

"Patrols are to tighten security in the fields." His mind flashed to Kosmo's skilled claws. "The river is strictly prohibited in this melting period. No matter how tempting it might be." Warriors would know this well, but it was more for the apprentice's sake he reiterated the warning.

"I will lead a patrol with Ambersmudge and Clamsneeze out to the Northern Field for a border patrol. We will also check how the prey is running."

"Briarfang will lead Mintwhisker and Nettlesky on a hunting patrol. Where you go is up to the patrol leader's discretion."

" Cottonbright and Goosesong will do a border sweep along the riverbed, and up to the gorge." Surely he could trust two senior warriors to not fall into the ice and drown.

"Thornstrike and Bloomfire will check the integrity of the burrows and thickets that make up the camp." The melting snow meant that any instabilities would become painfully obvious. "Report to Boldstar afterwards." 

"Alderfly and Stoneclaw will hunt out on the eastren fields. Be wary of twolegs as you do."

And finally. "Apprentices." He turned his gaze onto the hoard of young cats. "Two of you will accompany the Medicine Cats in foraging for medicinal herbs. Three of you will take all moss from the camp and dispose of it in dirt-place, and refresh everyone's nests." They would have to sort that out themselves. It would be a good practice in diplomacy for the group. Plus, while Nettleplume likely wouldn't like the company he could use all the extra paws he could get to dig out frozen slush.

"That is all." He hopped down from Twinwillows without much ceremony.
