Round and Round the Bend (13LN20)

Thornstrike was aware of how the gait of an experienced warrior differed from that of a young apprentice, but they didn't slow their pace much. Twolegs might not've been as active at night, but they weren't the only things around. Still, Thornstrike had just occasionally looked back to make sure Mistypaw hadn't been snatched up by an owl or something while they were out in the open.

 

Thornstrike finally slowed to a stop after they left the Rockpath and entered the underbrush of the River Copse. The warrior scented the air and then, tail-tip flicking, asked Mistypaw, "What do you sense out here?"
