Pressure like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop, whoa. Pressure that'll tip, tip tip 'till you just go pop, whoa.

After marching through the fields and the river in the rising heat, Cottonbright led her apprentice towards the shade of the river's thicket, a circle of trees bordering one side of the river. Here, she hoped, she could show Mintpaw some more advanced combat training, as they had trained together for some time. At this age they should be advancing their enrichment, mroe specialized training tecnhiques that would hone his existing skill. It would only be a matter if she could translate the lesson in a way he could understand. "We're here! Now, h-how are you holding up, Mintpaw?" She shook out her pelt before they came under the protection of the trees, making sure she was a few foxlengths away from the smaller tom before she truly commited to ridding the moisture from her dense pelt.
(OOC: Thread training summary. Practicing Advanced Strikes, as well as Reversals.)

The fact that the sky was overcast didn't seem to help when it came to the heat. It just meant that between the river and the humidity of the day, the moisture in the air had no place to go and made it that much thicker to breathe in. Despite this, Mintpaw kept up with his mentor surprisingly well as they tried to stay in the shade of the thicket.
He had to admit, between his chores and the heat, his energy for the most part had been sapped even though he had slept fitfully and enjoyed a hearty enough breakfast. He blinked as his mentor stopped and shook herself before coming to a stop himself. His fur was damp but he didn't feel the need to rid it of the excess moisture like Cottonbright did.
"I feel t-t-tired but I supposed that's n-n-normal in this weather." The apprentice replied, stifling a yawn. He would still try to do whatever his mentor told him without backtalk, but he was an honest young tom and it didn't feel right to lie to his mentor about how he was feeling.
