Coldgaze:
Seated atop his perch, Coldgaze surveyed the warriors gathered below him. There were a few here that he wanted to speak to alone, but for now he would have to wait.
"Nettlesky." He addressed the older she-cat with some level of authority - she was more experienced than him, so she would be a good choice for leading a patrol. "You will take Briarfang and Alderfly on patrol." Three experienced warriors was enough to check the borders of their territory - and put down any trouble that came their way.
His worries about Thunderclan weren't unproven... but he also needed to know who usually patrolled that area, and when. "Thornstrike. You will accompany me on a survey of the river." He wanted to both make sure the heat and water wasn't eroding the clan's fishing locations - as well as get a general lay of the land for future combat purposes.
And that left... "Cottonbright." He didn't necessarily think highly of the white she-cat, but Boldstar trusted her. "Hunting is of top priority." Hopefully she had enough foresight to bring her apprentice. After a moment of consideration he continued. " If you need more paws, Otterwhisker might help. The river patrol will join you once we have completed our task."
With jobs sorted, he hopped down from his post and sifted through the crowd to find Thornstrike. The sooner they got on with the patrol, the sooner he could find somewhere cool to bask.

From the outskirts of Twinwillow a large, round she-cat bathed herself in the early hours of the day. From the looks of thing it might rain later and the she-cat was doing what she could to clean herself so that she might be able to do... something productive. When she heard Coldgaze begin calling for patrols, she held herself seated in attention, stiffening once she was passed over and instead suggested for hunting patrol. She could do that - Mintpaw, where was Mintpaw? Cottonbright's blue eyes blinked in search for the small cream tom. She knew Otterwhisker would be too busy with her kits, and this would be the perfect opportunity to get a bit of hunting training in.

From across camp near the entrance of the warran, a lean, ticked tabby leered from the roots of the twinwillow. He swept his gaze back over to the nearly dry herbs that were basking in the growing heat; he had to be sure they were done before the rain came and all his hard work was ruined. He nosed a stem back to its proper placement as he had stretched them out neatly over the roots to bake, and only an ear seemed to flick at the familiar cry of Riverclan's deputy heralding the clan for the day's patrols. Nettlepaw would be staying in the warren for most of the day to avoid the worst of the heat, but he planned on neatening up inside.

BRIARFANG
Finishing up a quick cleaning, the dark tortoiseshell cat flicked a nicked ear and looked to Nettlesky. It had been a while since they had spent much time with their dame, and they were looking forward to it. Border patrols gave plenty of time to chat and catch up, after all. Alderfly would be there also, but there was nothing Briarfang could do about that.
