Appearance

Short Description:

A longhaired chocolate calico she-cat with gray eyes & white tail tip

Long Description:

Whisperingwind thinks her fur is a soft, whimsical blend of black, white, and a deep chocolate brown reminiscent of a storm gathering in the sky. Her eyes appear to her as two gleaming pools of silver but in reality hold a slate grey that dances with mischief and curiosity, often to her they are outshining the stars themselves. Whisperingwind’s whiskers are long and sleek, and quiver whenever her perkiest of moods strike. Her coat is thick and it often snags on the branches of the pines and takes her forever to dry when wet. However, her mostly darkened coat hides her well in her home among the pines the only giveaway ever being her snowy white paws, chest, and the tip of her plump tail.

Personality

Whisperingwind’s personality is a mix of bubbly energy, quick wit, and a heart of gold. Her infectious laughter and positive outlook on life in her opinion are like a breath of fresh air, lighting up any patrol she enters. Despite her bubbly demeanor, Whisperingwind is far from naïve; her attempts at sharp sarcasm and clever comebacks keep every cat on their toes to prove she is just as intelligent as everyone else. Beneath her sarcastic exterior, however, lies a true kindness and compassion for others, always willing to lend a helping paw or a listening ear. Whisperingwind is a complex character, blending humor, warmth, and hidden intelligence that makes her truly unforgettable to those who take the time to get to know her. Her biggest downfall is expecting whatever she desires to fall at her paws without putting effort into gaining it.

History

Key Dates:
  • Born in the Moon of Cheetah's Flight (2019) 125
Full History:

Kithood:
Whisperingwind was born to _____ and ______ . Whisperingkit was a worrisome kit. She didn’t speak until her third moon of life despite the queen’s best efforts. This caused the leader of her clan to change her prefix from Wind to Whisperingpaw at her apprentice ceremony. She remained a rather soft-spoken kit throughout the rest of her time in the nursery.

Apprenticeship:

Despite her initial excitement to become an apprentice, Whisperingpaw had a rough start to the experience. She was apprenticed by a rather cranky senior warrior tom who had little patience for her air-headed ways. Whisperingpaw despite trying to focus, was the type of apprentice to zone out during her mentor’s words, wander off on a patrol to follow a smell, or hide out and nap. This in turn led her to being punished rather frequently with caring for the elder’s den and searching for ticks. This punishment seemed to fuel her selfish ways even more as she became a rather loud complainer. However, by the grace of Starclan, she was named a warrior, which not only relieved her but her rather irritated mentor who was glad to see her go.

Warriorhood:

In the Moon of Long Sun 2020, Whisperingwind received her full name at last. She found herself pleased with the changes of pace, no longer feeling as though she were a servant to others. Her kindness had grown when it was done of her own accord. However, Whisperingwind could not help but find herself desiring more than her current role within the clan. Her eyes could not help but be set on the inner circle of her leader and what’s more the possibility of gaining such a role herself.

  1. Welcome to your first round in character creation! Please remember that it’s normal for a character to go through at least a round or two of tweaks! It’s rather common for a first-timer to have what looks like a long list, so please don’t feel discouraged. It’s part of the learning process about things CoSC does differently than most games. Also, sometimes comments are a “just so you know” type of thing, so not everything will demand a change (though things not demanding a change will include a note to that effect).

    Appearance

    • a soft, whimsical blend – This is considered [Pre-interpretation Powerplaying](https://www.chosenofstarclan.com/docs/staff/public-service-announcements/psa-11-power-playing/#preinterpretation-powerplaying-4189c045-4ed7-4775-aff2-3f452516e782) because it tells others to see her pelt colors as something specific.
    • blend of black, white, and a deep cholocate brown – A chocolate calico is chocolate, red and white. This is because the black is what’s turned into the chocolate color. If you belive this coloration is genetically accurate, all you need to do is message me with the resources that explain the genetics.
    • reminiscent of a storm gathering in the sky – Another case of pre-interpretation powerplaying.
    • Her eyes are two gleaming pools of silver – Silver eyes do not exist (you may be trying to describe gray potetically, but we’ve had what i’ll call issues concerning metalic eyes in the past, so I have to make sure it’s clear).
    • Her eyes […] that dance with mischief and curiosity – I caution you to using the appearance to describe an exprssion, as it would lock you into that being simply what she looks like rather than an expression she takes on.
    • Her eyes […] often outshining the stars themselves. – Powerplay.
    • whiskers […] twitching alongside her ever-amused mood – A caution against locking yourself into a mood. It would be rather limiting on the character.
    • Her coat is thick unlike most cats in Shadowclan – After a quick glance thrugh the allegiences for the clan I’m acctually not sure this is a true statement. We do try to keep refrences like this consistent when they’re established, so if you’d like to keep this statement please verify that it’s true against the current membership of the clan.

    Personality

    • personality is a delightful mix of bubbly energy, quick wit, and a heart of gold – Powerplay.
    • Her infectious laughter and positive outlook on life are like a breath of fresh air, lighting up any patrol she enters. – Powerplay.
    • her sharp sarcasm and clever comebacks keep every cat on their toes. – Powerplay.
    • Whisperingwind […] in a way that makes her truly unforgettable. – Powerplay.

    History

    • Prefix – This is not a demand for change, just a suggestion that you work out why she’s named “whispering”, as it’s a rather unusal prefix. Also, here it’s not Unusal for the prefix to change (IE: Savagefox was Foxkit when young) so a shift there wouldn’t be unreasonable in a name progression.
    • which not only relieved her but her rather irritated mentor. – A mentor would have had to be overruled by the leader and deputy for a promotion they didn’t agree to to be made because the opinion of the mentor is critical in the process. This would be like a principal decciding a kid should still go up a grade when a core subject teacher didn’t pass them. It’s rather a big deal, so coiuld you please go into what led to this?

    Excellent work!

You really do have a good start! It’s very common to get ticked on power playing in your first attempt (CoSC is harder on it than most games where character sheets are concerned). The really tricky part (the history) usually gives people a lot more trouble, and your only shortfalls there are leaving me with a few areas I’d love more detail on!
