Ratfreckle

A large ticked, freckled torbie with amber eyes and a scarred tail

Ratfreckle bore thick, medium length ticked torbie fur, black and bright ginger in color with markings that gave the she-cat her namesake. Her fur was soft but slightly scruffy at the edges, making her tail bushy and somewhat unkempt, despite her efforts in grooming. Ratfreckle also bore a series of noticeable scars long her flank and a very pronounced scar on her tail, a clean slice downward that tore some fur that never grew back due to the nature of such a deep battle wound.

Due to her Maine Coon heritage that had travelled as far as her great grandfather, Ratfreckle was on the larger side, her frame was well muscles and fit, even in her days as an elder where her limbs and joints were giving her more harm than good.

Her eyes were a dark amber, almost matching rather closely to the ginger freckling her pelt. Lastly, she bore a small white locket on her chest that is hardly noticeable in some positions, but it was there as well as white paws and a white tail tip.

Ratfreckle was a she-cat that hardly held her tongue when she knew it mattered, she was never afraid to oppose a popular opinion of another warrior in situations where she disagreed with the words being said, even if it may have gotten her a bit of a negative reputation. This proud, defiance carried along to leaders and deputies she didn’t agree with as well, she would speak with a sharp tongue on disagreements but she wouldn’t spit venom at them on their choices like she would with warriors.

Despite her outward attitude, she did care deeply about her clan and only wished for the best for it, which only drove her sharp-tongued natures further. Thinking that her ideas would be able to help the can in her own way. But as stubborn as she was, she cared and never rose her claws at the sign of conflict, that is what mattered.

Ratfreckle’s life began very typically of a cat in the clans, born alongside a small litter and had a regular kithood that travelled to a rather uneventful apprenticeship aside from a rogue border skirmish that left her with the scar on her tail that she now bares with pride (although it had held her back for a moon due to the severity of the injury.

As a young warrior, her main focus was on her duties. Until it wasn’t… when she was in the moons of her early 20s, she decided to bare a litter, sired by a close friend of hers that she never named to her clan, though some may have had suspicions of who it might be, though through common curtesy, those clanmates had very well possibly never asked. Two moons later, she birthed a litter of two, Frondkit and Honeykit, who had become Frondbristle and Honeyglow. While Frondbristle tragically passed away, her son Honeyglow is still an elder, though she does hope to see him again soon.

Twenty moons after Honeyglow and Frondbristle had been born, Ratfreckle had decided to use the last of her worth to have another litter for ShadowClan, resulting in Eaglecry and Mousewillow, then Volekit and Mousekit.

After moons of service, Ratfreckle retired and then died peacefully in her den, her body found cold at dawn. She had died of heart complication brought on by her old age. However she had died without regrets and stands tall above her kits in StarClan, never being able to be more proud of what she and her kits had accomplished.
