This plant has square stems with stalked, dark green leaves that are soft to touch but have a serrated shape. When in flower, it has blunt oblong clusters of small pinkish flowers. It has a strong scent, often described as sharp, yet sweet. Unlike other varieties of mint, peppermint flowers have only for united petals instead of the standard five.

Can be used in multiple ways. It may be consumed to treat congestion and sore throats from congestion, bloat from overeating, and nausea. The leaves may be crushed to release the smell which can soothe headaches, relieve congestion and disguise the scent of death on deceased cats. It may also be chewed into a paste and applied to irritated skin for minor soothing properties.
