Screaming into the void counts as progress

A lone rumble thundered along the Thunderpath belonging to a singular silvery monster. Robins chirped in the mid morning as a tortie and white she-cat bent over towards an attractive patch of garlic. Now that the rogue had been taken care of there was little to fear; the curfew had been lifted and cat's didn't need a second body to accompany them anymore. Flutterdream was perfectly capable of gathering what she needed before the Gathering and she began to delicately clip the needed garlic leaves into the grapeleaf she had brought alongside with her where some tansy already lay in a pile. Not take needlessly, just enough to dry and keep in her stores. Then she'd have plenty of time to go over the drying process with her apprentice.

But before she could make much progress in clipping a horrid screeching caused her ears to prick up, muscles coiling. Eyes wide, she barely had a moment before a Monster veered from the designated Path. Against all expectation the Monster met the petite frame of the medicine cat before the Monster corrected itself, growling black smoke and returning to the road after its upset.

From the tall grass on the other side of the road, a flash of wings rose into the air where a single black feather floated down.
