Cottonbright watched Sturgeonpaw bound ahead and she couldn’t help but smile shyly at his excitement. She padded after him, keeping a measured pace as they headed toward the Upper West Bank, her thoughts swirling with plans for their training.

"I-I think we’ll have a good chance of finding prey..." She responded after a moment, voice gentle as they walked. "Most creatures are still out and about this time of day. If we’re lucky, maybe we’ll spot some fish in the river or a water vole by the banks."

The mention of Otterwhisker brought a flicker of warmth to Cottonbright’s eyes. "Let's see if we can find something to bring her."

As they neared the riverbank, the soft rush of water greeted them, the sun glistening off its surface in dappled patterns. Cottonbright stopped at the edge of the reeds allowing Sturgeonpaw to catch up. "Alright, we're here! Let’s see what we can find and we’ll work on stalking techniques. Smell anything interesting?"

Her lime-green eyes glimmered as she gestured for him to take the lead, wanting to see how he would approach this first real test.
