Shadefrost

A gray eyed tuxedo tom with a scar on the back of his head

A semi broad built tom with black and white tuxedo fur. His eyes are the color of stone. He has a scar on the back of his head behind his left ear from where a rogue got the jump on him. For some reason the fur right there just wont seem to regrow. He tail fur seems to be constantly puffed out as if he is expecting something bad at all times.

A careful and methodical young tom in every part of his life, from letting cats get close to him to hunting prey or fighting off enemies, Shadefrost thinks his actions through. He will not pick fights unless absolutely necessary and seems to think that fighting amongst the clans is ridiculous. He might come off as skittish around most cats but the ones he gets close to get to see an entirely different and fun loving side of him. While he may think things through he can also be a bit of a thrill chaser, like the time he climbed as high as he could in the Great Sycamore. A deeply loyal cat even if when he feels uncomfortable means he will defend his clan even at the cost of his life.

Kit History:

Shadefrost, given the name Shadekit the day of his birth by Goldenstar after his Dam refused, always seemed like a sickly kit being born in leaf-bare. His Dam seemed to think having kits was a burden and his Sire never really visited him in the nursery. His Dam stayed in the nursery with him out of duty but it was evident she did not want to be there. She didn’t even seem to want to be around her clanmates. Shadekit turned inward and became a shy young kit due to thinking he was always in the way or a nuisance.

Shadekits Dam had always felt pressured into a mate coupling with his Sire, not because of anything anyone around them would say but more because it was just what seemed to be expected of her. She felt like having her kit was was a nuisance and took away precious time she could be doing other things. After Shadekit became an apprentice, she decided that the warrior life and its expectations were not what she wanted for herself and so she left without a word to anyone to live her own life, her own way.

Apprentice History:

As an apprentice named Shadepaw, the young tom was still nervous around his mentor, ____, a fierce she-cat who tolerated nothing less than excellence. This unfortunately made Shadepaw more nervous during his training and caused him to make many mistakes. The one thing he always seemed to excel at, though was hunting. He loved to hunt. To lose himself in the scents and sounds of the forest, stalking his prey before pouncing and dispatching it neatly. His hunting may be the only thing his mentor ever congratulated him on.

1 moon into his apprenticeship his Dam left the clan to live a life all her own. She didn’t say goodbye nor did she spare him a glance as she left through the gorse tunnel .

About 2 moons into his apprenticeship he was having an assessment when a Rogue leaped out of a bush, catching him completely unawares. The Rogue batted at the back of Shadepaws head with unsheathed claws, leaving a nice wound there for Shadepaw to remember him by before his mentor showed up and ran the rogue off. Getting back to the camp he was taken straight to the Medicine den to be looked at. No serious damage was done, thank Starclan.

Warrior History:

Shadepaw… No he wasn’t Shadepaw anymore. Now he was Shadefrost, in honor of his black and white pelt. He was a Warrior of Thunderclan. Pride swelled in his chest. Here he was, a full member and yet he still hadn’t really let any cats in. Maybe he should change that. This could be his start. He was still skittish but he could work on that couldn’t he? Yes he could definitely work on it.
