Rosepelt was a lilac primal-ticked torbie with brilliant green eyes and a bushy tail. She was half-Somali and looked very much like her parent Talonwhorl. Rosepelt had a mildly warmer color thanks to her sire Flamestem. There was a small patch of white on her underside.

Personality Considering herself very charismatic and temperamental, Rosepelt always felt ready to take on the world. She was also always ready to correct anyone who spoke ill of her family, especially if they insulted Talonwhorl. Being the kit of a former outsider didn’t bother Rosepelt. On the contrary, it inspired her. To Rosepelt, Talonwhorl had worked harder than the majority of Clan cats and Rosepelt would never let their detractors forget it.

Rosepelt was born Rosekit in the Moon of First Fishing (2013), apprenticed as Rosepaw in the Moon of Turning Leaves (2013), and named a warrior as Rosepelt in the Moon of First Green (2014). Born in the Moon of First Fishing (2013) to Talonwhorl and Flamestem, Rosepelt was the sole kit of that litter. This gave Talonwhorl extra focus to spare and they felt very protective of Rosekit, but due to that protectiveness, they also felt vulnerable. Flamestem didn’t pretend to fully know how they felt as a new queen, but he encouraged Talonwhorl to let themself feel whatever they were feeling instead of hardening themself more. Young Rosekit would know nothing of such complex things for moons and moons to come. She just knew that her parents wanted the best for her. As she grew, Rosekit increasingly appreciated and admired Talonwhorl’s drive. Rosekit always thought they were more impressive than other warriors. Talonwhorl hadn’t been born into any Clan or had their path as a Clan cat laid before them. Talonwhorl had been a complete outsider. There were other paths available, but they chose to prove themself to RiverClan and make themself worthy of becoming a Clan cat. Rosepelt believed that if they truly weren’t meant to be there, StarClan would’ve intervened right away. In the Moon of Turning Leaves (2015), Rosepelt gave birth to the litter that included Nettlesky (then Nettlekit) and Ebonykit. The litter was sired by Blackbranch, but Rosepelt never announced her offspring’s sire, simply because she didn’t know which of her chosen toms the sire was (and it didn’t matter anyway). Trying to guess by appearance didn’t help when it came to Nettlesky. She just looked like a darker version of Rosepelt. Early on in the Moon of First Green (2016), Talonwhorl died, but later in that same moon, Rosepelt’s kits became apprentices. Rosepelt wouldn’t pass on until the Moon of Turning Leaves (2019), taken by fever. Threads :
