Milo

A red fringed tom with green eyes

Milo was an average sized cat that carried the physique of an outdoor semi-stray up to his unfortunate death. His coat was a cross between short and long, with wisps of hair longer on his chest and tail, giving his tail a fringed appearance. He was a red, broken mackerel tabby with white socks and a white mask on his face, which framed his round, pale green eyes.

An outgoing and adventurous barn cat, Milo spent his life guarding the barn from the intrusion of mice, vermin and the like. He was a curious creature, often investigating new scents and sounds nearby, and never turned down an expedition to explore, climb, or even be sociable always ready to greet visitors with a friendly smile. He was satisfied with a simple life and simple desires, but made sure to do right by his promises as he had done towards Lawn Gnome and her kits.

Milo was born on the Winstrate farm alongside Spud. He was introduced to Lawn Gnome, then known as Susan, when he was about 18 moons old. As barn cats who shared both a home and a duty to rid the barn of mice, the three tried their best to get along and looked out for one another. Eventually Milo helped raise her litters that he had sired alongside Spud. He was content to live and explore on the farm freely, but after her last litter, Milo was sent to a shelter where he was adopted out. His new home brought with it a sense of sadness, but also a sense of wonder. He’d frequently make a ruckus to be let out until he was obliged. At times he wanted to find his way back to the farm, and would try, but the sheer expanse of his new home was both attractive and daunting. It was during one of his frequent explorations that he was struck by a car and lost his life on his way to the vet.
