A large, golden sunshine, half Siberian ticked tom with gold eyes

Aurelius is a large, long furred, golden ticked cat. His fur tends to look as though it is shimmering when he moves, adding to the ‘golden’ affect of his pelt. He has dark tufts of fur on his ears, and a few tabby markings on his face, but nowhere else. His muzzle and a small patch of his upper chest are white. His features are sharp, and due to his size he has a lot of muscle, which he likes to think makes him a little intimidating. His eyes are also a ‘golden’ colour, but are better described as a murky yellow.

Aurelius is a cat who looks out for himself over anyone else. His top priority is himself, and it is hard to gain his complete trust, or have him feel a sense of loyalty towards anyone outside of the Cabal. He only bothers with things that interest him, but, a lot of things do interest him so he likes to help out here and there. He is outgoing, and sometimes a little dramatic, with little to no issues when it comes to self confidence. While he is self-focused, he doesn’t see himself on a higher level, and instead sees all cats as equals, no matter what they have done in the past. This doesn’t mean he likes them, but he nearly always has some sort of respect for other cats.

While he does like to add some flair into his words and actions, around half the time Aurelius presents himself as quite laidback. If he isn’t actively doing something, he will nearly always be resting, though he does have a hobby of observing others, due to having an interest in others business, despite him only really caring about himself.

KITHOOD

Aurelius was born into Caligula’s Cabal, a grandkit to one of the groups original members Mintaka. Aurelius’ mother was one of Mintaka’s kits, known as Eleni, and Aurelius’ father was an escaped housecat who stayed with the Cabal for a few moons until he passed. He was born alongside two other kits, but one passed not long after birth. During his kithood he was raised under strict rules, for Eleni felt a strong sense of duty towards the Cabal, and wanted to make sure her kits did too.

He grew up in the Cabal’s original territory with a lot of pressure from Eleni. She loved her kits dearly, but they had to be pushed or would have little chance of survival so she put on a hardy exterior, and showed her children little affection other than at night. Aurelius coped okay with the tough love his mother provided him, but his sibling did not, and ended up running away at around the age of 4 moons. It is presumed this cat now lives as a housecat within Whitehart.

He was eager to start training, and it wasn’t long after his sibling left that Aurelius was instructed he must begin training under Eleni’s guidance. Eleni was glad to see that her son had a strong interest for battle and hunting, but it was clear he was missing something, so it wasn’t long before Mintaka offered her assistance, giving Aurelius the emotional education that Eleni refused to provide. He worked well with the Cabal’s training and it wasn’t long before he was freed from the watchful eyes of Eleni.

ADULTHOOD

When Aurelius was quite young, the Cabal’s territory became ruined by drought, leading Caligula to find a new territory for the group. Cats perished along the way, but Aurelius and his remaining family survived, settling into a new territory, far from their old one. He settled down with ease, having little concern about loosing his old territory. As long as he was able to feed himself, that was all Aurelius cared. Since moving, the Cabal went through a period of peace, which during Aurelius did his best to hone his skills, wanting to be as useful as he could towards the Cabal. It seemed as though Eleni had made a strong impact on him, and she was happy to see how her son had grown.

A year or so later, the Cabal made the decision to attempt to return to their old lands, which surprised Aurelius, but he found himself quite excited. He was one that deeply enjoyed new things, while also longing for a sense of nostalgia. Going back to his birth land, and seeing what had changed excited him, meaning the long journey affected him little. It was during this journey that Caligula lost his life protecting his daughter, Andromeda who led the way for the rest of the journey, taking up leadership as the sole heir. This change of leadership had little affect on Aurelius, as it was something new after all. Aurelius’ loyalty lies deep within the roots of the Cabal, rather than to single cats. This was the group that had raised him, so even under new leadership, little changed in his eyes.

He still continued to stay with the Cabal, but with the eventual death of Andromeda the group slowly fell apart, leaving only a few cats left, including him and his mother. Cats left but Aurelius and Eleni stayed, and have lived on the territory ever since, living life as a loner.

Not long ago, Kosmo, the only remaining kin of Caligula, and the heir of the Cabal returned to the land, and Aurelius swore his loyalty to him. The Cabal was his home, even if it had fallen apart, he would help it resurface. He now does his best to help Kosmo, while taking care of his weakening mother.

Sire was a purebred Siberian, meaning he is 1/2 Siberian. Eleni was also half Siberian, so he is technically 3/4 Siberian. His granddame was half Singapura so he also has distant blood from that breed.
