Polaris

Polaris is a black tom with frost blue eyes and a white star-like patch of fur on his chest and vitiligo. His vitiligo currently is a little lighter, mostly in dots all across his pelt except for a medium sized patch on the left side of his face and one patch on his front right leg. His fur is medium length and his tail is fluffy with a white tip.

Polaris is a calm tom that normally enjoys solitude and silence. However, he will not hesitate to socialize with other cats. He is quite prone to being lonely or acting gloomy, but he usually finds it is very easy for him to distract himself from personal worries. He can also be quite forgetful sometimes, but it doesn’t really bother him too much.

He easily takes interest in things and strives his best to achieve personal goals and knowledge. This can lead him down interesting paths, such as his current position, being a member of SkyClan.

Kithood (0-6 moons) :

Born as Dusk, he was raised by his mother alongside his siblings. Food was hard to come by since his mother was a very weak and sickly cat who was raised by twolegs. Because of this, he, as the oldest, decided to learn how to hunt at a young age.

Even then, they struggled, since he could barely catch enough to feed more than himself and maybe one other cat. In the end, two of his siblings died due to starvation, and he could not help but blame himself for it. He was the hunter and the eldest of his siblings after all.

At the age of five moons, Dusk and his siblings lost their mother as well, and because of this, Dusk decided to distance himself from his kin. It was his fault that they had died. His remaining kin would be better off without him. And then, of course, he didn’t want to bear the weight of responsibility that he had for the few moons he had lived.

Adolescence (7-12 moons)

And so, Dusk continued on his way alone, hunting for himself. Sometimes he would meet a rogue or a loner, and sometimes he’d spend some time with them, learning things about herbs, hunting, or fighting as he mingled with them. He never lingered long, traveling onwards so as not to experience what he had before.

Were he to become attached to some cat, he believed that they would die just as his kin had. He didn’t want to be responsible for any cat anymore. He didn’t want to be at fault for the death of somecat important to him again.

During his travels, he came across a clear pool of water, and, looking down at his reflection among the night sky above, he took a new name. He was no longer Dusk, the cat that was responsible for the death of his kin, but Polaris, a loner traveling beneath the night sky. (He chose his name based on both his fur and a story his mother had once told him about a star that led traveling cats because of how bright it was.)

Adulthood (13-current moons)

Holding a new name, Polaris continued his travels, eventually finding a place that he grew fond of. He wouldn’t run anymore from responsibilities, but would stay in this new place and meet new cats. One day he would probably travel again, but for now, he was where he belonged.

Settling in to his small, new territory, he slowly began to wonder if he should stay forever. Although that might not be very convenient, since anything could happen. He was a little excited to meet new cats and live in his new territory, but easily calmed himself down.

Sleeping during the day and spending most of his wakeful moments at night, just as he did while he was traveling, Polaris awaits whatever is coming for him. Whatever awaits him, he is ready to face it head on, unlike how he was when he was Dusk. He desires to become a responsible cat to make up for his former mistakes, no matter how long it takes.

Now in his new home, Polaris has met an odd tom who calls himself Kosmo, and has invited him to join a group called SkyClan. Interested in the cat’s offer, Polaris agrees, both out of interest in the odd tom, and a wish for knowledge about his new home and those who reside there.

Polaris is of Burmese descent, and he inherited his vitiligo from his Sire.
