Poppycloud

Poppycloud is a tall she-cat, lithe, slender frame a mark of her pale dappled figure with an angular face and large triangular ears. She is a mostly blue dilute tortoiseshell she-cat with a warm cream coloring on her dappled patches, however little there were. White patches make themselves known on her muzzle and a triangular patch on her throat and a white blaze from her nose to the middle of her eyes. Her paws are the same white with a white tip to her unusually long, feathered tail.

Her fur is long and wavy, cleaned tediously and well maintained over the moons and, due to Poppycloud’s vanity, not a hair out of place to those who knew her.

Poppycloud’s eyes are a deep, earthy brown that is a stark contrast her to pale fur.

Poppycloud was one to think of her own beauty as unparalleled from the rest of the cats in her clan. She consistently made sure her fur was clean and well-groomed, dedicating extra time to ensure that not a single strand was out of place whenever she had a moment away from her warrior duties.

She tends to prioritize ambition over reason, frequently pursuing her goals without regard for those who might obstruct her, instilling a similar mindset in her son, Ash song. Whom she supported in his quest for power and leadership of RiverClan prior to her passing in the Moon of Turning Leaves 2020. And continues to observe him with interest to discover where his ambitions lead.

Born under the cover of the RiverClan nursery to her mother, Mothlily, to her sire Gullsprint along with two restless littermates, Poppykit rested peacefully at her mother’s belly while her siblings grew up with the energy that rivaled that of a full warrior. But even as a kit, Poppykit was calculated, mischievous in a way that left her parents taken aback by how quickly she picked up on things and used them to her advantage. Whether that was sneaking an extra piece of fresh kill or pulling petty tricks on warriors by placing thorns in their nests, but one thing was for sure.

Poppykit was a pawful to her parents and didn’t plan on changing.

Poppypaw was then given to an esteemed warrior that was usually renowned for whiping apprentices into shape, but Poppypaw was stubborn and feisty, much more focused on looking her best than actual training. However to save face to the rest of the clan and to her own enjoyment (she would hardly admit it) she trained with all she could when her mentor scolded her with one lecture or another.

She ended up passing her final assessments with flying colors, as she genuinely did enjoy the praise and the thrill that she got from matching the warriors in both strength and possibly calculated, careful thinking. And thus, became Poppycloud, for her endurance and ambition, while being named for her soft, ‘cloud-like’ fur.

As a warrior, she saw her chance to become deputy and leader after that, however, she was much to concentrated on her own duties and keeping herself clean to really commit to that goal, instead, she found companionship in a stern and serious warrior by the name of Grousecreek. He peaked her interested and she decided that his attributes would be perfect to pass down to a litter of her own, strong and healthy with the weight of perfection to push them to a higher standard that she would hold them to.

And so, she bore a litter of three kits, Ashkit and Sootkit and Emberkit. She couldn’t have been more happy with how they turned out, Ashkit having her frame and ruthless ambition and Sootkit having her vanity and Grousecreek’s strength and stature.

She raised her young with her ideals and eventually her life ended on the 26th day of Turning Leaves(2020) when she was attacked by an owl and couldn’t fend it off alone, she was found dead that evening by a dusk patrol.
